HR Coordinator Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a hr coordinator in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania does not require a state-issued license to work as an hr coordinator, so the path starts with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Most Pennsylvania employers expect candidates to demonstrate familiarity with HR processes through internships, administrative support roles, or relevant coursework. Earning the SHRM-CP or PHR certification strengthens applications considerably and is frequently listed as preferred in Pennsylvania job postings across healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services.
Which companies hire hr coordinators in Pennsylvania?
Employers hiring hr coordinators in Pennsylvania right now include Five Below, Eriez, and Greif, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pennsylvania's large healthcare networks, regional manufacturers, and higher education institutions generate consistent openings throughout the year.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most hr coordinator jobs?
Philadelphia, Erie, and Pittsburgh are the Pennsylvania cities with the most hr coordinator openings. Philadelphia leads because of its dense concentration of health systems, financial firms, and corporate headquarters, while Pittsburgh's strength in healthcare and technology drives demand there, and Harrisburg's state government agencies and regional employers sustain steady hiring in the capital region.
Are there remote hr coordinator jobs in Pennsylvania?
Yes, and they are more common than in many fields because much of the hr coordinator role involves documentation, HRIS management, and communication work that transfers well to remote settings. About 17% of hr coordinator openings tied to Pennsylvania are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting continued flexibility since the pandemic. Benefits administration and HRIS coordination roles tend to be the most remote-friendly, while onboarding and employee relations work more often requires an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a hr coordinator in Pennsylvania with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an HR assistant or administrative coordinator role at a large Pennsylvania employer, where on-the-job exposure to HR processes leads naturally into a coordinator position. Pennsylvania health systems such as UPMC and Jefferson Health regularly bring on HR support staff at the associate level, and many of the state's larger manufacturers and universities hire HR interns who convert to full-time roles. Completing the SHRM-CP or pursuing a human resources certificate from a Pennsylvania community college or state university signals readiness and gives candidates an edge over others without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to hr coordinator jobs in Pennsylvania?
You can find and apply to hr coordinator jobs in Pennsylvania on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit.
