Community Engagement Specialist Jobs in Arizona

The Family Engagement & Community Coordinator is responsible for creating meaningful experiences for learners and families while strengthening AIA's connection with the surrounding community. This position will oversee family engagement initiatives, clinic events, sponsorships, community partnerships, social media, and special milestone events.

The ideal candidate is creative, outgoing, organized, resourceful, and passionate about bringing families and the community together. This person should be comfortable taking an idea from concept to completion and independently developing new opportunities for AIA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and coordinate opportunities that encourage families to actively engage with AIA.
• Plan parent and family events, appreciation activities, family nights, and community-building opportunities.
• Create parent-focused programs, activities, and initiatives throughout the year.
• Gather feedback from families and use it to improve engagement opportunities.
• Develop an annual family engagement calendar.
• Plan and coordinate monthly and seasonal clinic events.
• Coordinate event logistics, vendors, entertainers, decorations, supplies, setup, and cleanup.
• Develop creative, age-appropriate, and inclusive activities for learners.
• Develop sponsorship opportunities for events and programs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners.
• Assist with managing AIA's social media presence and content calendar.
• Create engaging content highlighting approved clinic activities, events, staff, community partnerships, and accomplishments.
• Take and organize appropriate photos and videos in accordance with AIA policies and required permissions.
• Maintain a consistent and professional AIA brand and public image.
• Create promotional materials for upcoming events and activities.
• Develop creative ways to increase family participation.
• Coordinate event reminders and communications.
• Maintain an organized annual calendar of clinic events, fundraisers, family activities, and important milestones.
• Plan events and activities within approved budgets.
• Track event supplies and coordinate inventory needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in event planning, marketing, communications, community relations, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children and/or families preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Creative, energetic, and comfortable interacting with families, staff, businesses, and community members.
• Comfortable making phone calls, sending emails, networking, and establishing new community relationships.
• Ability to independently develop and execute projects.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using social media and basic design/communication tools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow all AIA policies and procedures.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and screenings.

Part-Time: Approximately 15–20 hours per week

The schedule may vary based on events and programming. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for special events.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
