Donor & Community Engagement Specialist

The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation is seeking an organized, personable and detail-oriented Donor & Community Engagement Specialist to join our team.

This is a hands-on support role that assists our Foundation team with donor and community engagement and stewardship activities, fundraising initiatives and events.

The position helps keep our development activities organized and moving forward by assisting with communications, preparing materials, coordinating details, tracking projects and follow-up, and providing administrative support for fundraising and engagement activities.

This position will be part of a team that executes our major fundraising events and smaller stewardship and engagement events throughout the year.

What you'll do:

• Assist with donor and community engagement and stewardship activities.
• Assist with preparing correspondence, communications and stewardship materials.
• Prepare lists, forms, event materials and other development documents.
• Assist with recognition and appreciation activities.
• Assist with tracking projects, deadlines, responses and follow-up.
• Provides support for fundraising campaigns and other development activities.
• Assist with creating and distributing communications using Constant Contact and Canva.
• Create and maintain forms using Jotform.
• Communicate by phone, email and in person with donors, businesses and community groups.
• Assist with soliciting and tracking in-kind gifts, auction items and other community support.
• Be part of the team that executes major fundraising events and smaller stewardship and engagement events.
• Provide hands-on event support, including advance preparation, setup, guest support, event-day execution, breakdown and follow-up.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Executive Director and Foundation team as assigned.

Who we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, personable and detail-oriented and enjoys being part of a team. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing details, following through on assignments and helping ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

This position requires someone who is comfortable with both administrative support and interacting with people. You should be comfortable preparing materials, creating communications and forms, coordinating details and completing follow-up, as well as communicating by phone and interacting face-to-face with donors and community groups.

Experience and skills:

Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, Jotform and Constant Contact is preferred.

Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge is preferred.

Previous experience in administrative support, nonprofit work, development support, event support, customer service or a related environment is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organization and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines are important for success in this position.

Schedule and benefits:

This is a full-time, non-exempt, in-person position, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an hourly pay range of $15–$17 per hour.

Occasional evening and weekend work is required for Foundation events and activities, averaging approximately once per month.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Executive administrative support: 1 year (Preferred)
• Social media management: 1 year (Preferred)
• Digital marketing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Florida Driver (Required)
