Frame fintech growth experience in your resume
Affirm evaluates Growth Marketing Directors on their ability to scale user acquisition and merchant partnerships in regulated financial products. Highlight campaigns tied to lending, payments, or financial services verticals, not just general consumer growth work.
Confirm your visa type before applying
Affirm sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT among other categories. If you're on OPT, verify your CPT or OPT end date against the typical hiring timeline since senior roles often take 60 to 90 days from first interview to offer.
Target roles with cross-functional scope
Growth Marketing Director postings at Affirm frequently require collaboration with product and data science teams. Roles with that cross-functional language tend to qualify more cleanly as specialty occupations under USCIS H-1B criteria, which strengthens your petition.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter screens
Affirm's talent team handles a high volume of applications for marketing leadership roles. Disclosing your visa status on the first recruiter call prevents late-stage surprises and signals that you understand how sponsorship fits into their hiring process.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Growth Marketing roles
Affirm's sponsorship-eligible Growth Marketing Director openings aren't always easy to filter on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles at Affirm that are open to visa sponsorship candidates and track new postings as they go live.
Understand the PERM timeline if you want permanence
If Affirm extends a full-time offer and you want a Green Card pathway, PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Discussing this during offer negotiation sets realistic expectations for both sides.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Affirm sponsor H-1B visas for Growth Marketing Directors?
Yes, Affirm sponsors H-1B visas for Growth Marketing Director roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation given its requirements around data analysis, performance marketing strategy, and financial product knowledge. Affirm has an established process for filing H-1B petitions, including premium processing when timelines are tight, though you should confirm current practices directly with their recruiting team.
How do I apply for Growth Marketing Director jobs at Affirm?
Applications go through Affirm's careers page, where Growth Marketing Director roles are posted with department and location filters. Before applying, review the job description carefully for product-specific language around buy now, pay later or merchant growth, as tailoring your resume to those details improves screening outcomes. Migrate Mate also lists Affirm's sponsorship-eligible openings, making it easier to track new postings in one place.
Which visa types does Affirm commonly use for Growth Marketing Directors?
Affirm sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for senior marketing roles, along with TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying categories. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for candidates currently in the U.S. on student status, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways are available for employees pursuing permanent residence after establishing tenure.
What qualifications does Affirm expect for a Growth Marketing Director?
Affirm typically looks for a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field, along with substantial experience leading growth or performance marketing programs. Background in financial services, fintech, or two-sided marketplace businesses carries meaningful weight. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with paid acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and attribution modeling are consistently emphasized across postings for this level.
How do I plan my timeline around Affirm's visa sponsorship process?
For H-1B candidates, the annual cap lottery runs in March with an October 1 start date, so an offer extended in late spring may require an H-1B extension or OPT bridge to cover the gap. TN status can typically be obtained faster, often within weeks. Building at least three months of runway between your application and your intended start date gives both you and Affirm's immigration counsel enough time to file properly.
