Frame your credentials around health outcomes
American Heart Association evaluates Customer Success candidates on their ability to drive engagement with health and wellness programs. Tailor your resume to show measurable partner or member retention results, not just account management volume.
Verify the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility requires your position to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards. For non-profit Customer Success roles, confirm the job posting lists a required bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business, public health, or communications, before applying.
Target program-facing teams within the organization
American Heart Association structures customer success around its mission verticals, including workplace health, community programs, and professional memberships. Roles tied to these programs tend to have clearer degree requirements, which strengthens an H-1B specialty occupation argument.
Start the LCA process timeline with your offer
Once you have an offer, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can receive the H-1B petition. Build at least three to four weeks for LCA certification into your expected start date conversation with your hiring manager.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles by visa type
Searching for sponsoring non-profits manually is slow and unreliable. Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Success Professional openings at American Heart Association by the visa types they actively sponsor, so you only pursue roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Leverage F-1 OPT to prove value before sponsorship
If you are on F-1 OPT, the 60-day grace period means a gap between roles creates real risk. Starting in a contract or temporary Customer Success capacity at American Heart Association and converting to a full-time sponsored role is a documented path here.

Find Customer Success Professional at American Heart Association JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does American Heart Association sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success Professionals?
Yes, American Heart Association sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Success Professional roles. To qualify, the position must meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, meaning it needs a specific bachelor's degree rather than accepting any degree field. Roles tied to defined program verticals, such as workplace health or professional membership, tend to have the clearest degree requirements and the strongest H-1B eligibility.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Success Professional roles at American Heart Association?
H-1B is the primary sponsored visa for full-time Customer Success roles at American Heart Association. The organization also supports F-1 OPT and CPT, which can be a practical entry point for recent graduates before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship. TN visas are an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Each visa type has different timing and eligibility requirements you will need to confirm with the employer.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Customer Success Professional roles at American Heart Association?
American Heart Association typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, communications, public health, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing client or member relationships. For mission-aligned organizations, experience in health promotion, non-profit program delivery, or stakeholder engagement is a strong differentiator. Technical skills like CRM platform proficiency and data-driven reporting are commonly listed in job postings.
How do I apply for Customer Success Professional jobs at American Heart Association?
You can browse open Customer Success Professional positions at American Heart Association through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you know upfront whether a specific posting supports your situation. Applications go through the American Heart Association careers portal. Tailor your application to highlight partner or member success metrics and any experience with health or wellness programs, which align directly with the organization's mission focus.
How do I time my application if I am on F-1 OPT and targeting American Heart Association?
If you are on F-1 OPT, your authorization period is finite, and the 60-day unemployment grace period applies if your role ends. Apply to American Heart Association roles at least three to four months before your OPT expires so there is enough time for an offer, onboarding, and any H-1B filing preparation. If your OPT includes a STEM extension, you may have additional runway, but you should confirm USCIS extension timelines before accepting a start date.
