Frame Your Portfolio Around Hardware-Software Integration
Apple's PM hiring evaluates candidates on experience owning products that span physical and digital layers. Prepare case studies where you drove decisions across hardware constraints, software dependencies, and supply chain timelines, not just feature roadmaps.
Target Roles Tied to Apple's Core Product Lines
Open Manager, Product Management positions at Apple cluster around iPhone, Mac, iPad, and services platforms. Applying to roles aligned with a product line where your background overlaps increases your odds of advancing past initial screening.
Verify Your Visa Category Before Accepting an Offer
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and Green Card pathways, but the category filed depends on your nationality and degree. Confirm with Apple's immigration team which petition type applies to your situation before you sign, since the filing timeline and portability rules differ by category.
Account for H-1B Cap Timing in Your Job Search
If you need an H-1B and aren't transferring from a current H-1B, USCIS only accepts registrations in March for an October 1 start. Plan your Apple application timeline backward from that window to avoid a gap in work authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Apple PM Openings by Visa Type
Searching for Manager, Product Management roles that align with your specific visa category takes time without the right filters. Migrate Mate lets you browse Apple's current openings filtered by the visa types they sponsor, so you target positions relevant to your situation.
Document Cross-Functional Scope for PERM Evidence
If Apple pursues an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card for your role, DOL's PERM process requires detailed documentation of the position's requirements. Keep records of your direct reports, budget ownership, and cross-team dependencies throughout your tenure so this evidence is available when needed.

Find Manager, Product Management at Apple JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for Manager, Product Managements?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for Manager, Product Management roles. Because these positions require a specific technical or business degree and involve specialized cross-functional leadership, they typically meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard. If you're currently on OPT, Apple can file an H-1B petition during the March registration window, with employment starting October 1 if selected.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for Manager, Product Management roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for this role, along with EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways. Australian citizens can use the E-3, which has no lottery and faster processing. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN. For long-term sponsorship, Apple has a track record of supporting PERM-based Green Card filings for PM managers.
What qualifications and experience does Apple expect for Manager, Product Management roles?
Apple's Manager, Product Management positions typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, often with an MBA preferred. Hiring teams look for candidates who have led product development across hardware and software, managed cross-functional teams, and shipped consumer or enterprise products at scale. Experience with supply chain constraints or silicon roadmaps is a differentiator for hardware-adjacent roles.
How do I apply for Manager, Product Management jobs at Apple?
Applications go through Apple's careers site, but you can also find and filter current openings by visa sponsorship type using Migrate Mate. Apple's PM interview process typically includes a recruiter screen, a hiring manager conversation, and a cross-functional panel covering product strategy, execution, and leadership scenarios. Prepare to walk through a full product case study from problem definition through launch.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing a Manager, Product Management role at Apple on a work visa?
Timeline depends on your current status. OPT students should target offers by December to allow time for H-1B registration in March. If you're transferring an existing H-1B, Apple can file a cap-exempt transfer and you can start relatively quickly. E-3 and TN candidates can move faster since both categories don't involve a lottery. Factor in that PERM processing for a Green Card can take a year or more after you're hired.
