Job Description
Team: Carrier Product Marketing
Salary Range: $150,000–$180,000 USD
Location: Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Lincoln, or Toronto (Hybrid)
This position operates in a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration 1-2 days a week from our Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Lincoln, or Toronto offices, plus occasional travel.
Opportunity for Impact
Applied is where insurance technology gets reinvented, and we build it fast. Our cloud software and AI-powered solutions reach thousands of agencies and brokers worldwide, setting the pace for what modern insurance can do. We’re looking for a Director, Product Marketing to join our Carrier Product Marketing team and lead product marketing strategy for Applied’s carrier-facing portfolio, driving growth with insurance providers globally. This is a strategic role, as the carrier segment is a key growth vector for Applied. This leader will own product positioning, launch strategies, and product marketing team leadership, partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing. The carrier function is still early in its scale curve, offering a clear path to senior leadership growth as the business expands.
What You’ll Do
- Set the product marketing strategy for the carrier segment, owning positioning, narrative, and market direction across Cytora, Ivans, and all carrier-facing capabilities globally
- Translate complex, technical carrier capabilities into narratives and visuals that resonate with non-technical executives, owning the visual language across diagrams, one-pagers, and demos
- Own naming and brand architecture decisions across Cytora, Ivans, and the broader Applied Carrier portfolio
- Build, lead, and develop a team of product marketers covering Cytora and Ivans, establishing the carrier PMM operating model — including AI tooling and scalable systems — as the business grows
- Partner with Product Management and Operations leadership on roadmap, positioning, and pricing, and with Sales, Customer Success, and Demand Gen to drive pipeline, competitive win rate, and adoption
- Govern the launch process for carrier-facing products, ensuring cross-functional alignment and strong launch outcomes
- Drive carrier market and competitive intelligence, and build relationships with industry analysts focused on the carrier and insurtech ecosystem
- Own a systematic win/loss and customer research program, feeding findings into positioning, roadmap, and competitive strategy
- Own and report on PMM-influenced metrics for the carrier segment — pipeline contribution, win rate, adoption, and launch outcomes
- Champion and contribute to Applied PMM's use of AI tooling, custom skills, and scalable systems to compound team impact.
What We’re Looking For
- 8-10+ years in B2B product marketing, with 3-5+ years of people management experience
- Proven track record leading product marketing for a high-growth segment, new product category, or emerging business unit in enterprise SaaS
- Demonstrated ability to build the PMM function for a smaller, scaling team, operating with a builder’s mindset and partnering closely with senior leadership
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including comfort representing the company with analysts, partners, and at industry events
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience in insurance, insurtech, financial services, or another regulated B2B industry
- Experience working in AI-forward marketing teams or driving AI adoption within marketing functions
- Strong financial acumen and experience contributing to business case development, pricing strategy, and segment investment planning
- Data-driven mindset with a proven ability to use analytics to guide GTM strategy
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus
Talent shows up in a lot of different ways, and we mean that. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and experience levels, including military members and their spouses and those without a traditional degree or tech background. If this role speaks to you, apply.

Target roles in product and engineering
Applied Systems builds insurance technology platforms, so software engineering and product roles are where visa sponsorship is most likely to surface. Focus your application on technical positions that align directly with their core platform development work.
Understand which visa types they support
Applied Systems sponsors H-1B and TN visas, and has supported F-1 OPT candidates. If you hold a TN-eligible nationality or are on OPT, you may have a more accessible path into the company before pursuing H-1B sponsorship.
Apply during active hiring cycles
Because Applied Systems sponsors visas at a selective pace, timing matters. Apply when they have open technical roles rather than reaching out speculatively. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and monitor openings.
Align your experience with insurance technology
Applied Systems operates in a niche intersection of software and insurance. Candidates who can speak to experience in enterprise SaaS, insurance workflows, or agency management systems will stand out over generalist software profiles when competing for sponsored roles.
Prepare for a structured interview process
Technology companies in the enterprise software space typically run multi-stage interviews involving technical assessments and role-specific panels. Applied Systems is no exception. Preparing with insurance-tech context alongside standard software engineering interview prep improves your chances significantly.
Be upfront about your visa needs early
Applied Systems has a track record of sponsoring international candidates, but their volume is selective. Disclosing your visa requirements early in the process avoids wasted effort and signals professionalism. Recruiters at companies with established sponsorship programs expect this conversation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Systems sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Applied Systems sponsors H-1B visas. Their sponsorship activity is selective rather than high-volume, so it tends to be concentrated in technical and specialized roles. If you're targeting Applied Systems on an H-1B, focus on positions in software engineering or technology functions where the company has historically supported international candidates.
What visa types does Applied Systems sponsor?
Applied Systems sponsors H-1B visas and has supported F-1 OPT candidates, making it accessible to international students during their post-graduation work authorization period. They also sponsor TN visas, which is relevant for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional roles. Their sponsorship is concentrated in technical and software-focused positions.
Which departments or roles at Applied Systems are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
Based on their sponsorship history, technical roles in software engineering and product development are the most common areas where Applied Systems supports visa candidates. The company builds insurance technology platforms, so roles involving platform development, integrations, and enterprise software are your strongest targets if you need sponsorship.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Applied Systems?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find verified sponsorship opportunities at Applied Systems. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate filters roles by actual sponsorship history, so you can confirm Applied Systems is actively hiring international candidates before you apply. This saves time and ensures you're targeting real opportunities.
How do I improve my chances of getting sponsored at Applied Systems?
Applied Systems sponsors selectively, so differentiation matters. Candidates with hands-on experience in enterprise SaaS, insurance technology, or agency management software have a clear edge. If you're on F-1 OPT or hold TN eligibility, leading with that can ease early conversations. Be transparent about your visa needs from the first recruiter screen.
