Align your credentials to U.S. licensure expectations
Arcadis routinely expects Engineering Managers to hold or be pursuing a P.E. license. Get your foreign degree evaluated by a NACES-member credential evaluation service before applying, so your qualifications read clearly to U.S. hiring managers from the first screen.
Target Arcadis divisions with active federal contracts
Arcadis wins long-term government infrastructure and environmental remediation contracts that require sustained project leadership. These divisions file sponsorship more consistently because headcount is tied to funded contracts rather than discretionary growth, which makes them more reliable sponsorship pathways.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Ask specifically whether Arcadis will cover H-1B petition filing and legal fees before you accept. Large consulting firms sometimes cover attorney costs for employer-filed petitions but pass USCIS filing fees to employees, and that distinction matters for your total cost of employment.
Front-load TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
Engineering Manager roles at Arcadis can qualify for TN status under the USMCA engineer category, with no annual cap and no lottery. TN applications are adjudicated at the port of entry, so you can start a role within weeks of receiving your offer letter.
Build your PERM timeline into your first-year expectations
Arcadis has supported Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process for engineering leadership roles. DOL currently takes 18 to 24 months to certify PERM applications, so raise your interest in permanent residency during your H-1B renewal conversation, not at year four.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Engineering Manager roles
Search Migrate Mate to filter Arcadis Engineering Manager openings by visa type, so you can focus on postings where sponsorship has already been confirmed rather than cold-applying and asking about it after the first interview.

Find Engineering Manager at Arcadis JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Managers?
Yes, Arcadis sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Manager roles. As a large global consulting and engineering firm operating across infrastructure, water, and environmental sectors in the U.S., Arcadis has an established sponsorship process for technical leadership positions. You'll want to confirm the scope of support, including whether legal fees are covered, directly during the offer negotiation.
How do I apply for Engineering Manager jobs at Arcadis?
You can find and apply for Engineering Manager positions through Arcadis's careers portal. Migrate Mate also lists open Arcadis roles filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility, which helps you identify postings where sponsorship is confirmed before you apply. Tailor your application to highlight project leadership, client delivery experience, and any relevant P.E. licensure or progress toward it.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Engineering Manager roles?
Arcadis sponsors across multiple visa categories for Engineering Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates transitioning from graduate programs. For longer-term employees, Arcadis has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM process. TN is often the fastest path if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship and your role qualifies under the USMCA engineer category.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for Engineering Manager candidates?
Arcadis typically looks for a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, several years of progressive project or program management experience, and demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on large infrastructure or environmental consulting projects. A Professional Engineer license, or active pursuit of one, is a strong differentiator. Experience managing client relationships and contract delivery in a consulting context carries significant weight at the Engineering Manager level.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at a firm like Arcadis?
The H-1B process has two main phases. The annual lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date, meaning you need a job offer in hand before early March. After selection, USCIS adjudicates petitions within three to five months for standard processing, or in two to three weeks with premium processing. If your OPT expires before October 1, confirm with your employer that a timely filed petition covers you under the cap-gap rule.
