Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Operations Jobs at AutoNation Jobs
Align your credentials to automotive operations standards
AutoNation's Operations roles frequently require supply chain, logistics, or dealership management experience. Frame your resume around automotive-specific metrics like parts inventory turnover, service bay throughput, or fleet coordination rather than generic operations language.
Target multi-site and regional operations openings
AutoNation's scale means regional and district operations roles carry more complex responsibilities and are harder to fill domestically. These positions are more likely to trigger sponsorship conversations than single-location service coordinator roles.
Confirm F-1 OPT eligibility before your first interview
AutoNation has used F-1 OPT to onboard Operations talent. If you're on OPT, verify your STEM extension eligibility and remaining authorized period with your DSO before applying, since the 60-day gap between roles can close quickly in automotive hiring cycles.
Use Migrate Mate to filter AutoNation Operations roles by visa type
Rather than sorting through AutoNation's full job board manually, use Migrate Mate to surface Operations listings where the company has an active sponsorship pattern, so you're applying to the right roles from the start.

Find Operations at AutoNation JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does AutoNation sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, AutoNation has sponsored H-1B visas for Operations positions. Sponsorship is more common for roles that require specialized expertise in supply chain systems, dealership operations management, or logistics process design, where the position meets USCIS's specialty occupation standard. Straightforward coordinator or administrative operations roles are less likely to qualify or receive sponsorship consideration.
Which visa types are commonly used for Operations roles at AutoNation?
AutoNation has used H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for Operations hires. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically entry points for students in supply chain, industrial engineering, or business operations programs. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. H-1B tends to cover more senior or technically complex Operations roles.
What qualifications does AutoNation expect for Operations roles?
AutoNation's Operations positions typically require a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, industrial engineering, or a related field. For roles supporting dealership networks, experience with automotive parts systems, DMS platforms, or multi-site logistics is a strong differentiator. Senior roles often expect familiarity with lean process improvement, vendor management, or large-scale inventory oversight.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at AutoNation?
You can browse and apply for AutoNation Operations roles through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship history so you're not applying blind. AutoNation posts roles by region and dealership group, so search by both job function and location. Tailor your application to the specific operational scope of the role, whether that's service operations, parts logistics, or corporate process functions.
How do I time my application around H-1B sponsorship deadlines?
The H-1B registration window typically runs from early to mid-March, with an October 1 employment start date. If you're targeting AutoNation for H-1B sponsorship, aim to be deep into the interview process by January or February so an offer can be confirmed before registration opens. Starting applications in the fall gives you the most realistic runway.
