Translate healthcare credentials before applying
Baptist Health operates accredited facilities where administrative roles often require familiarity with medical terminology, EHR systems like Epic, and HIPAA compliance. Highlight any credentials or coursework in healthcare administration on your resume before submitting.
Target roles tied to clinical departments
Administrative Assistant openings attached to specific clinical departments, such as cardiology or surgical services, tend to have stronger sponsorship justification because the role requires specialized knowledge. Filter Baptist Health job postings by department rather than job title alone.
Understand how EB-3 fits administrative roles
Baptist Health's permanent residence sponsorship for administrative positions typically moves through the EB-3 category. PERM labor certification requires DOL to certify no qualified U.S. workers are available, so your employer will need documented recruitment evidence before filing.
Confirm sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Baptist Health's HR and legal teams handle sponsorship through structured internal processes. Ask directly during the offer negotiation whether the specific role and location are approved for permanent residence sponsorship before accepting, not after your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles by sponsorship type
Baptist Health posts administrative openings across multiple locations and departments. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Baptist Health positions that align with EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history, saving time you'd otherwise spend auditing individual postings.
Prepare for E-Verify as part of onboarding
As a healthcare employer, Baptist Health participates in E-Verify, which electronically confirms your work authorization with USCIS and DHS. Have your I-94, valid visa documentation, and any pending EAD or approval notices organized before your first day.

Find Administrative Assistant at Baptist Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Baptist Health sponsor H-1B visas for Administrative Assistants?
Administrative Assistant roles at Baptist Health generally do not qualify for H-1B sponsorship because the H-1B requires a specialty occupation, meaning the position must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Administrative support roles are usually not classified as specialty occupations by USCIS. Baptist Health's sponsorship activity for this function is concentrated in permanent residence pathways rather than H-1B.
Which visa types are commonly used for Administrative Assistant roles at Baptist Health?
Permanent residence sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is the more realistic pathway for Administrative Assistants at Baptist Health. EB-3 is the most common route for roles that require less than a master's degree. The process involves PERM labor certification filed with DOL, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Your priority date and country of birth determine how long you wait for a visa number to become available.
What qualifications or experience does Baptist Health expect for Administrative Assistant roles?
Baptist Health administrative roles across its health system generally expect proficiency with scheduling software, electronic health record platforms such as Epic, and strong written communication skills. Experience supporting clinical teams or department managers in a hospital or outpatient setting strengthens your application considerably. Some postings specify a minimum of two years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment, though requirements vary by department and campus location.
How do I apply for Administrative Assistant jobs at Baptist Health?
You can browse and apply for Administrative Assistant openings at Baptist Health through Migrate Mate, which aggregates Baptist Health postings filtered by sponsorship history so you can identify roles where permanent residence support is more likely. Applications typically require a resume, cover letter, and online submission through Baptist Health's career portal. Tailoring your application to highlight healthcare-specific administrative skills, such as HIPAA familiarity and EHR proficiency, improves your chances significantly.
How do I plan my timeline for Green Card sponsorship through Baptist Health?
PERM labor certification alone can take six to twelve months with DOL before your employer can file an I-140 with USCIS. After I-140 approval, applicants from high-demand countries like India face significant priority date backlogs in the EB-3 category that can stretch years. Confirming sponsorship intent early in the offer process and understanding your priority date before accepting a role helps you plan realistically around travel, status maintenance, and any interim work authorization renewals.
