Get your credentials evaluated before applying
Baptist Health expects ARRT certification or eligibility for most Radiologic Tech roles. If your training is from outside the U.S., get a foreign credential evaluation completed early so you can confirm equivalency before recruiters ask.
Target imaging-specific openings by modality
Baptist Health posts Radiologic Tech roles by modality, including CT, MRI, and general diagnostic. Applying to the specific modality you're credentialed in gives you a stronger case for sponsorship, since the employer ties the LCA to a defined specialty occupation.
Browse Baptist Health roles through Migrate Mate
Filter Radiologic Tech openings at Baptist Health by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate. You can identify which specific roles are tied to EB-2 or EB-3 pathways before you invest time in a full application.
Understand the PERM timeline before accepting an offer
EB-3 sponsorship for Radiologic Techs typically requires DOL PERM labor certification, which can take a year or longer. Ask your recruiter early whether Baptist Health initiates PERM before or after your start date so you can plan your status accordingly.
Confirm state licensure requirements for your work location
Baptist Health operates across multiple states, and Radiologic Tech licensure requirements differ by state. Verify that your current or pending license covers the specific facility you're hired into, since sponsorship paperwork references your work location directly.
Clarify which entity files your petition
Large health systems like Baptist Health sometimes file immigration petitions through a regional subsidiary rather than the parent organization. Ask HR which legal entity will appear on your I-140 or H-1B petition so USCIS records match your employment contract.

Does Baptist Health sponsor H-1B visas for Radiologic Techs?
Baptist Health primarily sponsors Radiologic Techs through employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. Radiologic Tech roles generally qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, but you should confirm directly with the recruiter which visa category applies to your specific role and location within the Baptist Health system.
Which visa types are commonly used for Radiologic Tech roles at Baptist Health?
EB-3 is the most common pathway for Radiologic Techs at Baptist Health, covering skilled workers with a relevant degree or credential. EB-2 may apply if the role requires an advanced degree or the position meets the criteria for a National Interest Waiver. Both pathways involve PERM labor certification filed through DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition.
How do I apply for Radiologic Tech jobs at Baptist Health?
You can find and filter Radiologic Tech openings at Baptist Health by visa sponsorship type using Migrate Mate, which lets you see which specific roles are tied to employment-based sponsorship before applying. Once you identify a match, apply directly through Baptist Health's careers portal and indicate your need for visa sponsorship during the application or initial screening call.
What qualifications does Baptist Health expect for sponsored Radiologic Tech positions?
Baptist Health generally requires ARRT certification or active eligibility, plus state licensure in the state where the facility is located. For sponsored roles, your degree and credential need to satisfy the specialty occupation standard under USCIS guidelines. Modality-specific experience in CT, MRI, or interventional radiology strengthens your application and makes the sponsorship case more straightforward for the employer.
How do I estimate the timeline from offer to work authorization at Baptist Health?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the process starts with PERM labor certification through DOL, which typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even begins reviewing the I-140 petition. Priority date backlogs for certain countries can extend the overall timeline further. Clarify with Baptist Health's HR team whether they begin the PERM process before or after your employment start date, since this affects your planning significantly.
