Verify Your ARRT Credentials Before Applying
OhioHealth requires active ARRT certification for Radiologic Tech roles. Confirm your credentials are current and transferable to Ohio before you apply. State licensure through the Ohio State Medical Board is a separate requirement that sponsors expect you to meet independently.
Target Specific Modalities OhioHealth Is Filling
OhioHealth posts Radiologic Tech openings across general radiology, CT, and fluoroscopy. Filtering by modality when searching narrows your targets to roles where your specific imaging background aligns, which strengthens your case during recruiter screening calls.
Browse OhioHealth Openings on Migrate Mate
OhioHealth lists Radiologic Tech positions with sponsorship eligibility details that are hard to confirm elsewhere. Use Migrate Mate to filter for OhioHealth roles that match your visa type so you only invest time in applications that are genuinely open to sponsored candidates.
Ask Recruiters About LCA Filing Timelines Upfront
Before accepting an offer, ask OhioHealth's HR team when they plan to file the Labor Condition Application with the DOL. LCA certification typically takes seven business days, and H-1B filing must follow before your current status expires. Knowing this timeline helps you manage any gap.
Clarify OPT Extension Eligibility During Screening
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm whether your Radiologic Tech role qualifies as a STEM extension before your initial OPT period ends. Most imaging roles do not fall under STEM-designated CIP codes, so planning your H-1B petition filing date with OhioHealth's legal team early is essential.
Prepare Credential Evaluation Documents for EB Petitions
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, OhioHealth's PERM process requires DOL-compliant evidence of your qualifications. Have a foreign credential evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency ready, particularly if your radiologic technology training was completed outside the United States.

Find Radiologic Tech at OhioHealth JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does OhioHealth sponsor H-1B visas for Radiologic Techs?
Yes, OhioHealth sponsors H-1B visas for Radiologic Tech roles. The process requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. Because Radiologic Tech is a specialty occupation with clear degree and licensure requirements, these petitions tend to be well-supported, but you'll need active ARRT certification and Ohio state licensure in place before the offer proceeds.
How do I apply for Radiologic Tech jobs at OhioHealth?
You can search and apply through OhioHealth's careers portal directly. To find roles that are open to visa sponsorship, browse Migrate Mate, which filters OhioHealth Radiologic Tech listings by sponsorship eligibility so you can identify the right openings before applying. Having your ARRT certification, Ohio state license, and visa documentation ready before you reach the offer stage will speed up the process considerably.
Which visa types does OhioHealth commonly use for Radiologic Tech roles?
OhioHealth sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT or CPT for Radiologic Tech positions, and also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term candidates. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose radiologic technology credentials align with USMCA-listed occupations. J-1 sponsorship typically applies to structured clinical training programs rather than direct staff hires.
What qualifications does OhioHealth expect for sponsored Radiologic Tech roles?
OhioHealth expects active ARRT certification, an associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology from an accredited program, and Ohio state licensure. For foreign-trained applicants, a credential evaluation from a NACES-accredited agency is typically required to verify equivalency. Relevant clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging environment strengthens your application, particularly for roles involving specialized modalities like CT or fluoroscopy.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Radiologic Tech offer at OhioHealth?
For H-1B sponsorship, the timeline runs from LCA filing with the DOL, which takes around seven business days, through USCIS petition processing, which can take several months without premium processing or two to three weeks with it. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM takes significantly longer, often one to two years or more depending on your country of birth and current USCIS backlogs. Confirm timing with OhioHealth's HR team before signing.
