Frame Your Credentials Around Engineering Consulting
BKF Engineers operates at the intersection of civil infrastructure and professional services. When preparing your resume and portfolio, emphasize project management, client advisory work, and technical coordination experience that maps directly to engineering consulting engagements, not generic business consulting.
Target Open Roles Across Multiple Office Locations
BKF Engineers posts Management Consultant openings across several regional offices. Applying to multiple locations increases your chances significantly, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the office level depending on active project pipelines and team capacity.
Understand the PERM Labor Certification Timeline Early
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship at BKF Engineers requires PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your immigrant petition. This process typically takes 12 to 18 months minimum, so raise the topic during offer negotiation, not after you've already started.
Confirm Your Degree Satisfies Specialty Occupation Standards
For an EB-2 filing, USCIS requires evidence of an advanced degree directly related to the role. A general business degree alone may not satisfy the specialty occupation threshold for a consulting role embedded in an engineering firm. A relevant engineering, finance, or technical master's degree strengthens your petition considerably.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface BKF Engineers Openings Efficiently
Management Consultant roles at BKF Engineers that include visa sponsorship are not always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for BKF Engineers roles verified for sponsorship, so you're applying to positions where the process is already in motion.
Negotiate a Start Date That Accounts for Filing Preparation
EB-2 and EB-3 petitions require assembling prevailing wage determinations, recruitment documentation, and I-140 evidence before USCIS filing. Ask your hiring manager to involve HR and outside counsel immediately after your offer is accepted so preparation doesn't delay your actual start date.

Find Management Consultant at BKF Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Management Consultants?
BKF Engineers' documented sponsorship activity for Management Consultant roles is focused on employment-based Green Card categories rather than the H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer, you can transfer to BKF Engineers while your Green Card process is initiated, but you should confirm the firm's current H-1B filing posture directly with their HR team during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Management Consultant jobs at BKF Engineers?
You can find and apply for Management Consultant openings at BKF Engineers through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles at companies with confirmed sponsorship track records. When applying, tailor your materials to BKF Engineers' infrastructure and civil engineering consulting context, and be direct in your cover letter about your need for employment-based sponsorship.
Which visa types are commonly used for Management Consultant roles at BKF Engineers?
BKF Engineers primarily uses the EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for Management Consultant sponsorship. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or demonstrated exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers professionals with a standard four-year bachelor's degree. Both require PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before USCIS can process the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does BKF Engineers expect for Management Consultant candidates?
BKF Engineers is an engineering and infrastructure firm, so Management Consultant candidates are expected to have a technical or analytically rigorous academic background alongside client-facing project experience. Familiarity with civil infrastructure projects, municipal clients, or construction program management strengthens your profile considerably compared to candidates from purely commercial consulting backgrounds.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Management Consultant at BKF Engineers?
The EB-2 and EB-3 pathways both require PERM labor certification, which takes roughly 12 to 18 months through DOL, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-140 petition. If your priority date is current, you can then file for adjustment of status. For nationals from countries with visa backlogs, such as India, the total wait can extend significantly beyond the initial filing timeline.
