Frame your PMP credential for engineering consulting
BKF Engineers works across civil infrastructure, land development, and public works. If you hold a PMP or equivalent certification, position it around managing multi-discipline engineering deliverables, not generic project administration. That framing aligns directly with how they define the role.
Research BKF's DOL PERM filings before applying
BKF's Green Card sponsorship for this role runs through the PERM labor certification process. Search DOL's FLAG system for their past filings to understand which job duties and minimum requirements they've submitted. This tells you exactly how to position your application materials.
Target offices handling active project portfolios
BKF operates across multiple California offices with varying workloads. Roles tied to active infrastructure or development programs are more likely to move quickly to an offer. Check recent project announcements to identify which offices are in execution mode, not just business development.
Clarify the EB-2 versus EB-3 path during the offer stage
BKF sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for this function. Which category applies to you depends on your degree level and how the role is defined in the PERM filing. Ask the hiring team early so you understand your priority date and estimated timeline before signing.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Not every Project Management Consultant opening at BKF is tied to the same sponsorship pathway. Use Migrate Mate to browse current listings filtered by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship aligns with your specific immigration situation.
Account for PERM processing timelines in your planning
The PERM labor certification process currently runs six months to over a year at DOL before BKF can file the I-140 petition. If you're on a time-sensitive status like OPT or a soon-expiring H-1B, clarify whether the company will bridge you with an H-1B transfer while the Green Card case progresses.

Find Project Management Consultant at BKF Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Project Management Consultants?
BKF Engineers' documented sponsorship activity for this role is focused on employment-based Green Cards rather than H-1B transfers. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, it's worth asking directly whether BKF will file an H-1B transfer concurrent with starting the Green Card process. Their answer will depend on the specific role and your timeline.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Management Consultant roles at BKF Engineers?
BKF Engineers sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visas for this role. EB-2 applies when the position requires a master's degree or equivalent, while EB-3 covers roles requiring a bachelor's degree and relevant experience. Both pathways go through PERM labor certification at DOL before the I-140 immigrant petition is filed with USCIS.
What qualifications and experience does BKF Engineers expect for a Project Management Consultant?
BKF typically expects a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing infrastructure or land development projects. A PMP certification strengthens your candidacy. Experience coordinating with public agencies, managing subconsultants, or overseeing permitting processes is particularly relevant given BKF's core service areas.
How do I apply for Project Management Consultant jobs at BKF Engineers?
You can browse and apply for open Project Management Consultant positions at BKF Engineers directly through Migrate Mate, which lists current roles filtered by visa sponsorship type. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect project delivery experience in civil or infrastructure consulting. Be specific about the scale of projects you've managed and your role in client-facing and regulatory coordination.
How do I plan my timeline if BKF Engineers is sponsoring my Green Card?
The PERM labor certification process takes six months to over a year at DOL. After approval, BKF files your I-140 with USCIS, and your priority date in the EB-2 or EB-3 category determines how long until you can file for adjustment of status. If you're from India or China, priority date backlogs add significant time. Start planning your immigration timeline before accepting the offer.
