Align Your Credentials With PE Licensure Expectations
BKF Engineers operates across civil and infrastructure consulting where Professional Engineer licensure is a meaningful differentiator. Before applying, confirm your foreign credentials are evaluated by a NACES-approved body so your application package is ready to move quickly.
Target BKF's Infrastructure and Land Development Projects
BKF's Senior Project Management openings tend to cluster around land development, transportation, and utility work. Tailor your resume to show direct delivery experience in those sectors rather than general management, since hiring managers are evaluating fit against active project pipelines.
Understand the EB-2 and EB-3 PERM Timeline Early
BKF Engineers sponsors permanent residency rather than H-1B transfers, so your green card process runs through PERM labor certification with DOL. Factor in a 12-to-18-month DOL processing window when negotiating your start date and visa status bridge.
Secure Existing Work Authorization Before Interviewing
Because BKF's sponsorship pathway leads to permanent residency rather than nonimmigrant status, arriving at the offer stage with independent work authorization, such as OPT, STEM OPT, or an EAD, removes a common hiring hesitation at the offer stage.
Ask Directly About PERM Recruitment Requirements
Under DOL rules, PERM sponsorship requires the employer to run a formal domestic recruitment process before filing. Ask the hiring team whether they've initiated that review for your specific role, since the process can't begin until a firm offer is in place.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active BKF Sponsorship Openings
Senior Project Management roles with active sponsorship aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter BKF Engineers openings by visa sponsorship type so you're only spending time on positions where EB-2 or EB-3 support is confirmed.

Find Senior Project Management at BKF Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
BKF Engineers' sponsorship history for Senior Project Management roles is concentrated in permanent residency pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B nonimmigrant status. If you're currently on OPT, STEM OPT, or another work-authorized status, that's the more practical entry point. Confirm the specific sponsorship structure with the recruiting team during the offer stage, since it can vary by role and project need.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at BKF Engineers?
Applications go through BKF Engineers' careers portal, where Senior Project Management roles are listed by region and practice area. Migrate Mate also aggregates BKF's open positions filtered by visa sponsorship type, which helps you confirm sponsorship availability before applying. Tailor your application to BKF's civil infrastructure and land development focus, and be prepared to demonstrate project delivery experience across multiple phases.
Which visa types does BKF Engineers typically use for Senior Project Management sponsorship?
BKF Engineers has sponsored Senior Project Management candidates through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories. These are employer-sponsored permanent residency pathways processed through a PERM labor certification filing with DOL, followed by an immigrant petition with USCIS. Neither category requires a lottery, but both involve a multi-stage process that can take one to two years or longer depending on your country of birth and USCIS backlogs.
What qualifications does BKF Engineers expect for Senior Project Management roles?
BKF Engineers' Senior Project Management positions in consulting typically require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline, several years of progressively responsible project delivery experience, and demonstrated client management ability. Professional Engineer licensure or active pursuit of it is a common expectation in infrastructure consulting at this seniority level. Experience managing subconsultants, budgets, and multi-phase projects on land development or transportation work is particularly relevant.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Senior Project Management role at BKF Engineers?
Because BKF Engineers sponsors through EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, the timeline runs through DOL's PERM labor certification process, which currently averages 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the immigrant petition. Total processing from PERM filing to Green Card approval often spans two to four years, depending on your priority date and country of birth. Applicants from India or China face additional wait times due to per-country visa backlogs.
