Position Summary
The Practice Manager provides daily operational leadership for the Rural Health Clinic, supporting back‑office functions. This position ensures efficient workflows, coordinates staff scheduling, supports providers, and promotes high‑quality patient care. The coordinator serves as the primary liaison between clinic staff and leadership, plays a key role in training and onboarding, and performs Medical Assistant duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of BMHD.
- Manages daily operations and overall performance of the practice to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and high-quality patient care.
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates clinical and office staff; provides coaching, feedback, and ongoing development.
- Develops and implements action plans to improve performance in areas such as employee retention, patient access, workflow efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- Participates in budgeting and financial analysis; reviews monthly financial and performance reports and identifies key trends and variances.
- Monitors patient flow, provider productivity, and staffing coverage to ensure appropriate utilization of resources.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for staff and providers to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, patient concerns, and workflow barriers.
- Oversees scheduling processes and systems, ensuring adequate coverage during absences and peak demand.
- Collaborates with physicians, regional medical directors, and leadership to align operational and clinical priorities.
- Supports strategic growth initiatives and assists in developing and implementing market expansion strategies.
- Leads regular staff meetings and daily huddles to promote communication, alignment, and engagement.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including DNV, OSHA, CMS, PCPCH, RHC, CLIA, and HIPAA.
- Oversees routine audits (e.g., charting, supplies, medications, charge posting, cleanliness, quality control) and ensures corrective actions as needed.
- Monitors customer service standards and addresses patient complaints and employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Supports quality improvement initiatives and implementation of new processes.
- Maintains accurate documentation and ensures adherence to organizational policies and confidentiality standards.
- Regularly rounds at assigned clinic sites to engage with staff and providers, assess performance, and address concerns.
- Communicates operational and strategic information effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
