Frame your credentials for specialty occupation
BCG's Enterprise Solutions roles typically require a directly related degree in fields like computer science, information systems, or engineering. Before applying, confirm your degree field maps cleanly to the role description, since USCIS evaluates specialty occupation at the petition stage.
Target BCG offices with active client programs
BCG staffs Enterprise Solutions consultants against specific client accounts, so offices tied to major technology or financial services clients tend to have more active hiring. Research which practice areas are expanding in your target city before outreach.
Clarify your visa type early in recruiter conversations
BCG sponsors multiple visa categories including H-1B, E-3, and TN. If you're Australian or Canadian, flagging your eligibility upfront can accelerate the process since those categories avoid the H-1B lottery entirely and have faster timelines.
Time your application around the H-1B registration window
If you need H-1B sponsorship, BCG must register you with USCIS each March for the April lottery. Securing an offer by late February gives the firm enough lead time to include you in that cycle without rushing the internal approval process.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Enterprise Solutions roles at BCG
Browse current Enterprise Solutions openings at BCG filtered by visa sponsorship type directly on Migrate Mate, so you're only spending time on positions where your specific visa category is actively supported.
Confirm LCA wage levels align with your experience tier
BCG files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before sponsoring any H-1B or E-3. The LCA locks in the prevailing wage level, so understanding where your experience places you on the DOL wage tiers helps you negotiate an offer that clears that threshold.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Boston Consulting Group sponsor H-1B visas for Enterprise Solutions roles?
Yes, BCG sponsors H-1B visas for Enterprise Solutions positions. The process requires BCG to file a Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submit an H-1B petition to USCIS on your behalf. For new H-1B candidates, sponsorship is subject to the annual cap and lottery, so timing your offer around the March registration window is important.
Which visa types does Boston Consulting Group commonly use for Enterprise Solutions positions?
BCG sponsors H-1B, H-1B1 visa, E-3 visa, TN visa, and F-1 OPT and CPT for Enterprise Solutions roles. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and a faster timeline. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN visa status. F-1 students already in the U.S. can typically start on OPT while BCG processes longer-term sponsorship.
What qualifications does Boston Consulting Group expect for Enterprise Solutions candidates?
BCG generally looks for a bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms, systems integration, or large-scale technology implementations is expected. Consulting experience or client-facing project delivery is a strong differentiator, particularly for roles that sit between technology delivery and client advisory work.
How do I apply for Enterprise Solutions jobs at Boston Consulting Group?
You can find open Enterprise Solutions roles at BCG on Migrate Mate, which filters positions by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your category is supported before applying. Applications go through BCG's careers portal and typically involve multiple rounds, including a case interview component. Flagging your visa situation early in the recruiter screening call helps BCG plan the sponsorship timeline alongside your start date.
How do I understand the timeline for BCG's visa sponsorship process for Enterprise Solutions roles?
Timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and TN sponsorship can move quickly, often within a few weeks of an offer. H-1B sponsorship for cap-subject candidates requires registration in March, with employment typically starting October 1 at the earliest. F-1 OPT allows you to start sooner while USCIS processes the H-1B petition, giving BCG flexibility on start dates.
