Align your credentials with specialty occupation standards
Procurement roles in electronics manufacturing often require a degree in supply chain, engineering, or business. Before applying, verify your degree field maps directly to the role's stated requirements, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility closely for sourcing positions.
Target Celestica's supplier-facing procurement openings
Celestica posts roles across direct and indirect procurement, with supplier development and strategic sourcing positions more likely to require specialized qualifications. Focus your applications on roles that explicitly reference electronics components or global supply chain responsibilities rather than general purchasing.
Raise sponsorship early in recruiter conversations
Celestica's talent acquisition team handles sponsorship decisions internally. Confirm your visa status and the specific pathway you need during the screening call, so you avoid reaching the offer stage only to discover the business unit won't sponsor that role level.
Understand the TN visa pathway for procurement roles
If you're a Canadian or Mexican national, a TN visa under the Management Consultant or Accountant category may apply depending on how Celestica structures the role. Review DOL's USMCA occupational lists to confirm eligibility before pursuing this path.
Track your OPT timeline against Celestica's hiring cycle
Celestica's procurement hiring often runs on a quarterly planning cycle. If you're on F-1 OPT, calculate your authorization end date against their typical offer-to-start timeframe, and flag STEM extension eligibility to your recruiter before the process advances to offer stage.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Celestica procurement roles
Procurement openings at Celestica that offer visa sponsorship are filterable by role type and visa category. Use Migrate Mate to surface active listings and identify which positions align with your authorization so you can apply with full confidence before your status window closes.

Find Procurement at Celestica JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Celestica sponsor H-1B visas for Procurement roles?
Celestica has sponsored employment-based visas for procurement functions, though H-1B sponsorship depends on the specific role, seniority level, and business unit. Procurement positions must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which generally requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as supply chain management, engineering, or business.
How do I apply for Procurement jobs at Celestica?
You can browse and apply for Procurement openings at Celestica directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can identify positions that align with your specific authorization. When applying, highlight supply chain, sourcing, or electronics industry experience relevant to the posted requirements.
Which visa types are commonly used for Procurement roles at Celestica?
Celestica has supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for international employees. For procurement roles, F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates, while TN is relevant for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupational categories. Employment-based Green Card sponsorship typically follows a period of full-time employment.
What qualifications does Celestica expect for Procurement positions?
Celestica typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience with supplier negotiation, contract management, or electronics components sourcing is valued. Familiarity with ERP systems and global supply chain operations strengthens applications, particularly for mid-to-senior roles that are more likely to carry sponsorship eligibility.
How does the sponsorship timeline work for a Celestica Procurement offer?
After an offer is extended, Celestica's HR and legal teams initiate the sponsorship process, which varies by visa type. For H-1B, the employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before the USCIS petition can proceed. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship runs on a longer track, often 18 to 36 months from initiation. Confirm the intended pathway with your recruiter before accepting.
