Tips for Finding Operations Jobs at Celestica
Align your credentials to electronics manufacturing standards
Operations roles at Celestica often require familiarity with IPC standards, EMS production workflows, or ISO quality systems. Document any hands-on experience with PCB assembly environments or electronics supply chain processes before applying.
Target Celestica's contract manufacturing service lines
Celestica operates across aerospace, healthcare, and enterprise tech verticals. Positions tied to their CCS or ATS business units tend to have more structured headcount planning, which means more predictable sponsorship pipelines than ad-hoc project-based hiring.
Secure F-1 OPT authorization before your offer lapses
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT authorization is active before your start date. Celestica has sponsored F-1 OPT candidates for Operations roles, but your DSO must have filed the EAD application with USCIS well in advance of your program end date.
Prepare for PERM timelines when targeting permanent sponsorship
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM requires DOL to certify no qualified U.S. workers are available. For Operations roles, this process typically takes over a year. Raise the conversation early, before you're deep into offer negotiations.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Celestica's open Operations roles by visa type
Celestica posts Operations positions across multiple locations, and sponsorship eligibility varies by role and site. Use Migrate Mate to filter listings by the visa categories Celestica actively sponsors, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already on the table.
Confirm TN eligibility before your interview if you're Canadian or Mexican
Celestica sponsors TN visas for Operations roles, and TN classification for engineers or management consultants requires your job duties to map precisely to a USMCA-listed category. Review the specific role description and verify your occupation qualifies before your offer stage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Celestica sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Celestica's sponsorship activity for Operations roles is concentrated in categories like EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa. H-1B visa sponsorship is not prominently reflected in their recent filings for this function. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for you, confirm directly with Celestica's hiring team or HR during the offer stage, as sponsorship decisions can vary by role and location.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Celestica?
Start by searching Celestica's careers portal and filtering for Operations roles in locations that align with your visa situation. Tailor your resume to reflect electronics manufacturing competencies such as lean operations, EMS workflows, or supply chain management. Migrate Mate lets you browse Celestica's open Operations positions filtered by visa type, so you can focus on roles where sponsorship is actively offered.
Which visa types does Celestica commonly sponsor for Operations positions?
For Operations roles, Celestica has sponsored candidates through EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories as well as F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN nonimmigrant categories. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose job duties map to USMCA-listed occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates before transitioning to longer-term sponsorship.
What qualifications does Celestica typically expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Celestica's Operations roles in electronics and hardware manufacturing generally require a degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical discipline. Hands-on experience with EMS production environments, quality systems like ISO 9001, or materials planning tools is commonly expected. For senior roles, familiarity with multi-site manufacturing operations or customer-facing program management within electronics contract services strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Celestica for an Operations role?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. F-1 OPT and CPT authorizations need USCIS approval before your start date, so file with your DSO at least 90 days out. TN status for Canadian citizens can be obtained at a port of entry on the day of travel. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 categories involves DOL processing and typically spans one to several years from initiation to approval.
