Align your credentials to hardware manufacturing standards
Celestica's Staff Engineer roles focus on electronics manufacturing, PCB design, and supply chain engineering. Frame your resume around IPC standards, SMT processes, or systems integration work rather than generic engineering experience to signal direct role fit.
Start your job search through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to browse Staff Engineer openings at Celestica filtered by visa type. It surfaces roles where sponsorship is confirmed, saving you from applying to positions that won't support your immigration pathway.
Request LCA details before accepting an offer
For TN or employment-based cases, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before petitioning USCIS. Confirm the prevailing wage tier and job location listed on the LCA matches your actual role to avoid delays at the petition stage.
Prepare your PERM documentation early for Green Card sponsorship
EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings require detailed documentation of your job duties and qualifications. Work with your employer's immigration counsel to ensure your educational credentials and engineering specialization are accurately described before the PERM audit window opens.
Build a technical portfolio around Celestica's core verticals
Celestica serves aerospace, industrial, and healthcare electronics clients. Staff Engineer candidates who can demonstrate program ownership across NPI cycles or manufacturing process improvements in those verticals get deeper into the hiring process than generalist applicants.

Find Staff Engineer at Celestica JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Celestica sponsor H-1B visas for Staff Engineers?
Celestica's documented sponsorship history for Staff Engineers focuses on EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas rather than H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status and already authorized to work, Celestica can transfer your existing petition, but initiating a new H-1B sponsorship for this role is not a confirmed pathway based on their recent sponsorship pattern.
How do I apply for Staff Engineer jobs at Celestica?
Apply directly through Celestica's careers portal and tailor your application to the specific engineering vertical listed in the job description, whether that's manufacturing engineering, systems integration, or quality. Migrate Mate also lists Celestica's open Staff Engineer roles filtered by visa type, so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying and avoid wasted applications.
Which visa types does Celestica commonly use for Staff Engineer roles?
Celestica sponsors Staff Engineers through F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates completing U.S. STEM degrees, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering occupations, and employment-based Green Card categories EB-2 and EB-3 for permanent residence. Each pathway has different employer filing requirements, so confirm which category applies to your situation before reaching the offer stage.
What qualifications does Celestica expect for Staff Engineer positions?
Staff Engineer roles at Celestica typically require a bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, with several years of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing environments. Familiarity with NPI processes, IPC standards, and cross-functional program management is frequently emphasized. For immigration purposes, your degree must directly support the specialty occupation classification tied to the specific role.
How do I plan the timing of a visa filing when starting at Celestica?
Timing depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization must be in place before your start date, and STEM OPT extensions require a formal training plan filed with your DSO. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the port of entry with your offer letter and credentials in hand. EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings run on a multi-year timeline, so those typically begin after you're already working in the role.
