Tailor your resume to hardware program delivery
Celestica prioritizes project managers with direct experience in electronics manufacturing, supply chain coordination, or NPI cycles. Frame your resume around hardware program milestones, not generic project lifecycle language, before you apply.
Confirm your visa type fits Celestica's sponsorship scope
Celestica sponsors EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas for this function. If you're on OPT, verify your STEM extension eligibility through your DSO before accepting any offer, since electronics and hardware roles often qualify.
Target roles that cross into engineering program management
Celestica's Senior Project Management openings often sit at the intersection of engineering and operations. Roles tied to product lifecycle, contract manufacturing, or customer program delivery tend to have stronger sponsorship precedent than purely administrative project positions.
Prepare your credentials for a PERM labor certification timeline
If Celestica pursues EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship for you, PERM requires demonstrating that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Gather transcripts, performance reviews, and documented project outcomes early so your employer isn't waiting on you when DOL filing begins.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Celestica roles by visa type
Celestica posts Senior Project Management positions across multiple locations and business units. Use Migrate Mate to filter those openings specifically by the visa types Celestica sponsors, so you're only pursuing roles where your status is already supported.
Negotiate your start date around USCIS processing windows
If you're transitioning from OPT or need a status change, USCIS standard processing for an I-129 petition can run several months. Lock in your start date only after confirming whether your offer timeline allows for that window or requires premium processing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Celestica sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Celestica's documented sponsorship activity for Senior Project Management roles covers EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. H-1B visa sponsorship is not reflected in their recent filings for this function. If H-1B is your only pathway, clarify sponsorship scope directly with the recruiter before investing time in the process.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Celestica?
Applications go through Celestica's careers portal, where Senior Project Management roles are listed by region and business unit. Migrate Mate aggregates these openings and filters them by visa sponsorship type, so you can identify roles where your immigration status is supported before applying. Tailor your application to highlight hardware program delivery experience relevant to Celestica's contract manufacturing model.
Which visa types does Celestica typically use for Senior Project Management roles?
For Senior Project Management positions, Celestica has sponsored F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, EB-2, and EB-3 visas. TN is available only to Canadian and Mexican nationals under the USMCA. EB-2 and EB-3 are employment-based Green Card pathways that require PERM labor certification and a longer processing timeline than temporary work visas.
What qualifications does Celestica expect for Senior Project Management roles?
Celestica's Senior Project Management positions typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field, along with substantial program management experience in electronics or contract manufacturing environments. Familiarity with NPI processes, customer program ownership, and cross-functional team coordination in a hardware context strengthens your candidacy considerably compared to candidates with only general industry experience.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Celestica Senior Project Management role?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization is typically in place before you start. TN status for Canadians can be obtained at a port of entry on the same day. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, which requires PERM filing with DOL followed by USCIS petition review, generally takes one to three years or longer depending on your country of birth.
