Frame your PM credentials for U.S. equivalency
Google's recruiting team evaluates degrees for specialty occupation eligibility. If your project management qualification is from a three-year program, gather a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying to preempt any H-1B petition complications.
Target Google's technical PM pipelines specifically
Google distinguishes between business-facing and technical program manager tracks. Senior PM roles tied to infrastructure, cloud, or hardware carry stronger specialty occupation arguments, which matters when your employer files an H-1B petition with USCIS.
Search verified sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and role on Migrate Mate to surface Senior Project Management openings at Google where sponsorship is confirmed. This cuts out roles posted without hiring authorization for international candidates.
Align your application timeline with H-1B cap windows
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed from April 1 for an October 1 start. If you're targeting Google from outside the U.S., factor in that a full hiring cycle may span two calendar years before your start date.
Prepare your LCA documentation proactively with your employer
Google's legal team files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS receives your I-129. Confirm the prevailing wage level assigned to your role and location early, since senior-level classifications directly affect LCA compliance and your petition timeline.

Find Senior Project Management at Google JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Google sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, Google sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The company has an established process for filing H-1B petitions through USCIS, including handling the Labor Condition Application with DOL and managing cap-subject lottery registrations. Senior-level PM roles generally carry stronger specialty occupation arguments given the degree and expertise requirements Google applies to these positions.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at Google?
Applications go through Google's careers portal at careers.google.com, where Senior Project Management roles are listed by team and location. Tailor your resume to highlight cross-functional program delivery, technical stakeholder management, and measurable outcomes. Migrate Mate lets you browse verified Senior Project Management openings at Google filtered by visa sponsorship type, so you can confirm eligibility before applying.
Which visa types does Google sponsor for Senior Project Management roles?
Google sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for this function. H-1B applies to most nationalities and is cap-subject with an annual lottery. H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and E-3 is exclusive to Australian citizens. Both H-1B1 and E-3 bypass the lottery, which can significantly shorten the path to a start date.
What qualifications does Google expect for Senior Project Management roles?
Google's Senior PM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business field, though many postings specify advanced degrees or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or operations. Candidates are expected to demonstrate experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs at scale. For visa purposes, your degree must align closely enough with the role to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Google Senior PM role?
For H-1B, the timeline spans the annual lottery in March, petition filing in April, and an October 1 start date at the earliest. E-3 and H-1B1 move faster since there's no lottery, but consular processing still adds several weeks. Google's immigration team typically initiates the Labor Condition Application with DOL as soon as an offer is accepted, so your process starts quickly once you clear final interviews.
