Frame Your PMP Around Technology Delivery
GFT's Senior PM roles center on software implementation and digital transformation programs, not general operations. Tailor your resume and credentials to highlight agile delivery, stakeholder management in tech environments, and experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams.
Verify GFT's Active LCA Filings Before Applying
Search the DOL's OFLC public disclosure data for GFT's Labor Condition Application history. Active LCA filings for Senior Project Management titles confirm the role is currently approved for H-1B hiring, not just theoretically open to it.
Target GFT's Banking and Insurance Delivery Teams
GFT specializes in financial services technology, so Senior PM openings most often sit within banking, insurance, or capital markets delivery units. Emphasize relevant domain experience in your application materials to align with the client base these roles actually serve.
Browse Open Roles Through Migrate Mate
Filter for Senior Project Management positions at GFT using Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified H-1B sponsoring employers. This narrows your search to postings where sponsorship is a realistic expectation, not something you have to confirm manually after applying.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Before accepting an offer, confirm whether GFT will cover USCIS filing fees and whether the role is cap-subject or cap-exempt. H-1B transfers from a current status are handled differently from new cap registrations, and knowing this upfront shapes your timeline planning significantly.
Time Your Application Around the H-1B Cap Cycle
If you need a new H-1B rather than a transfer, USCIS registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. Securing a signed offer from GFT well before February gives your employer sufficient lead time to prepare the petition package.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, GFT sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The company operates in technology and software services, and its Senior PM positions typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria, which is the foundational requirement for H-1B eligibility. Confirming active Labor Condition Applications with the DOL before applying gives you the clearest picture of current sponsorship activity for this specific role.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at GFT?
Applications for Senior Project Management roles at GFT go through their careers portal, where openings are listed by practice area and location. You can also find verified sponsoring roles through Migrate Mate, which filters GFT's open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility. Tailoring your application to GFT's financial services technology focus, specifically banking and insurance delivery programs, significantly improves your alignment with the roles that actually get filled.
Which visa types are commonly used for Senior Project Management roles at GFT?
The H-1B is the primary visa pathway for Senior Project Management positions at GFT. Senior PM roles generally meet the specialty occupation standard because they require at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business administration with a technology focus. If you're currently in H-1B status with another employer, a transfer to GFT avoids the annual cap registration process entirely.
What qualifications does GFT expect for Senior Project Management roles?
GFT's Senior PM roles in technology and software delivery typically require several years of hands-on project management experience, often in financial services or enterprise software environments. PMP certification is frequently listed as a preferred credential. Because GFT's client base skews heavily toward banking and insurance, demonstrated experience managing regulatory-sensitive or compliance-adjacent technology programs carries significant weight in the hiring process.
How do I understand the H-1B filing timeline if GFT extends me an offer?
If you need a cap-subject H-1B, USCIS opens lottery registration each March for a start date of October 1. GFT would need to submit your registration in March, and if selected, file the full petition by June. If you're transferring from an existing H-1B, you can start after USCIS receives the petition and issues a receipt notice, without waiting for October. Clarify your current status with GFT's immigration team immediately after receiving an offer so timelines are mapped accurately.
