Target roles that align with GFT's core practice areas
GFT focuses on financial technology, cloud engineering, and digital transformation. Roles in software development, data engineering, and IT consulting are where sponsorship activity is concentrated, align your application to these practice areas for the strongest fit.
Understand GFT's H-1B sponsorship profile before applying
GFT sponsors H-1B visas, so confirming your role qualifies as a specialty occupation is essential. Review the job description carefully to ensure a direct connection between your degree field and the position's core technical requirements.
Approach GFT as a technology consulting employer, not a product company
GFT places engineers and consultants on client engagements. Highlight experience working in cross-functional teams, adapting to different tech stacks, and delivering solutions for financial services clients, this mirrors the work GFT actually sponsors people to do.
Time your application with H-1B cap season in mind
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March with a lottery in April. Start conversations with GFT recruiters in January or February so the employer has time to prepare your petition before the filing window opens.
Use Migrate Mate to verify GFT's sponsorship history before investing time in applications
Applying to companies without confirmed sponsorship wastes time during a visa crunch. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can confirm GFT's track record and find open roles there filtered by real sponsorship history.
Emphasize domain expertise in financial services technology
GFT's client base is heavily weighted toward banks, insurers, and capital markets firms. Candidates with hands-on experience in fintech platforms, regulatory compliance systems, or core banking software stand out and are more likely to receive sponsorship consideration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, GFT sponsors H-1B visas for qualified professionals in technology and software roles. The company operates as a global IT consultancy, and H-1B sponsorship is its primary pathway for hiring international talent in the United States. Roles in software engineering, cloud development, and IT consulting are most commonly associated with sponsorship activity at GFT.
What types of roles does GFT typically sponsor visas for?
GFT's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines that support its digital transformation and financial services work. Software engineers, data engineers, cloud architects, and IT consultants are the profiles most commonly sponsored. Roles requiring specialized knowledge of financial technology platforms or enterprise software development tend to align best with GFT's sponsorship patterns.
How do I assess GFT's overall sponsorship track record before applying?
GFT has an established H-1B sponsorship history, though it sponsors selectively rather than at the volume of large enterprise technology firms. Reviewing its sponsorship profile on Migrate Mate gives you a clear picture of recent activity by role type and location, helping you gauge whether your background matches the positions GFT has historically sponsored.
How do I time my application to GFT around the H-1B process?
The H-1B cap lottery registration opens each March, with petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date. To be considered, you need an employer willing to file well before that window. Reach out to GFT's recruiting team in January or February, secure an offer, and ensure the company's immigration counsel can prepare your petition in time for the April filing deadline.
How do I find open visa-sponsored positions at GFT?
The most efficient approach is to search GFT's available roles through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by confirmed sponsorship history. This lets you identify positions at GFT where H-1B sponsorship is a realistic outcome rather than sifting through postings that may not lead to an offer with visa support. Filter by the Technology & Software category and sort by sponsorship track record to prioritize your outreach.
