Job Roles at GFT Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in GFT Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles aligned with GFT's core business
GFT focuses on digital transformation for financial services, so roles in software engineering, cloud architecture, and fintech consulting are your strongest bet. Positions in these areas are most likely to be considered for H-1B sponsorship at GFT.
Understand GFT's sponsorship pattern before applying
GFT's H-1B sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical and software development roles. Research which teams and projects are actively hiring to ensure your background maps to the areas where sponsorship has historically been available.
Apply early in the fiscal year hiring cycle
H-1B petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. At a company like GFT, planning your application around this window, ideally securing an offer by February or March, gives your employer enough lead time to file.
Highlight domain expertise in financial technology
GFT serves major banks and financial institutions. Candidates with hands-on experience in fintech, core banking systems, or regulatory technology stand out. Demonstrating industry-specific depth increases the likelihood your role is deemed a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes.
Confirm sponsorship eligibility before advancing in the process
Not every open role at GFT will include sponsorship. Ask the recruiter directly and early whether the specific position supports H-1B sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history before investing time in an application.
Position yourself as a specialized contributor, not a generalist
H-1B approval requires demonstrating the role is a specialty occupation requiring a specific degree. When applying to GFT, tailor your resume and interviews to emphasize deep technical expertise rather than broad, cross-functional skills that could weaken a specialty occupation argument.

Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, GFT sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in its technology and software operations. Sponsorship is primarily available for technical positions that meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard, meaning the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
Which departments or roles at GFT are most likely to offer visa sponsorship?
GFT's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical and engineering functions, particularly roles tied to software development, cloud solutions, and digital transformation for financial services clients. Candidates with backgrounds in fintech, data engineering, or enterprise software are best positioned. Non-technical or general business roles are less commonly sponsored.
What is the typical H-1B application timeline if I receive an offer from GFT?
After receiving an offer, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. The H-1B cap lottery opens in March, with petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. From offer to work authorization, the process typically spans six to eight months without premium processing.
How do I find open roles at GFT that include H-1B sponsorship?
The most reliable approach is to search for GFT on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles from verified H-1B sponsors and lets you filter by company and visa type. This saves time compared to manually reviewing job postings that rarely mention sponsorship status upfront. Reviewing GFT's active postings during early Q1 gives you the best window before the annual H-1B filing deadline.
How do I strengthen my H-1B application when targeting GFT specifically?
Focus on demonstrating that your role requires specialized knowledge tied to a specific degree field. For GFT, this means emphasizing technical depth in areas like financial technology, cloud infrastructure, or software architecture. Avoid generic job titles or broad descriptions. Strong academic credentials in a relevant STEM field and prior experience in financial services can significantly support a specialty occupation determination.
