Align your credentials to GFT's tech infrastructure focus
GFT operates in technology environments, so your inspection experience should highlight data centers, structured cabling, or IT facility buildouts. Frame your resume around technical compliance work, not residential or general commercial construction.
Confirm H-1B eligibility before applying
Construction Inspector roles must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, meaning a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a closely related field is typically required. Verify your degree field supports the role before pursuing sponsorship conversations.
Target GFT's active openings strategically
GFT posts Construction Inspector roles regularly. Use Migrate Mate to filter and track these openings, so you can apply early in a posting cycle when hiring managers have more flexibility to initiate sponsorship conversations before headcount decisions close.
Understand the H-1B cap and registration window
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS opens the registration window each March for an April 1 start date. Time your application to GFT so an offer can be extended before registration closes, otherwise you'll wait a full year for the next cycle.
Prepare a prevailing wage-ready offer discussion
DOL requires your offered salary to meet the prevailing wage for Construction Inspectors in GFT's work location. Research wage levels on the DOL FLAG system before your offer negotiation so you can confirm the offer will satisfy LCA requirements without delays.
Secure documentation proving degree field equivalency
If your engineering or construction management degree is from a non-U.S. university, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved organization before GFT initiates your I-129. USCIS scrutinizes foreign degree equivalency for specialty occupation roles.

Find Construction Inspector at GFT JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does GFT sponsor H-1B visas for Construction Inspectors?
Yes, GFT sponsors H-1B visas for Construction Inspector roles. The company operates in the technology sector, and its construction inspection work supports technology infrastructure projects. If you hold a qualifying degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field and your role meets the USCIS specialty occupation definition, GFT has demonstrated willingness to file H-1B petitions for this position.
How do I apply for Construction Inspector jobs at GFT?
You can find and apply for Construction Inspector positions at GFT through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by visa sponsorship status so you can identify openings where sponsorship is available. Apply directly through the listing, tailor your resume to GFT's technology infrastructure focus, and address your need for H-1B sponsorship early in your outreach to avoid late-stage complications.
Which visa types are commonly used for Construction Inspector roles at GFT?
H-1B is the primary visa category used for Construction Inspector roles at GFT. This classification requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a closely related field are best positioned. If you hold an O-1 or have an L-1 transfer pathway through a GFT entity abroad, those may also apply depending on your profile.
What qualifications does GFT expect for sponsored Construction Inspector roles?
GFT's Construction Inspector roles in the technology sector typically require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or architecture, combined with hands-on inspection experience in technology-related environments such as data centers or infrastructure buildouts. Familiarity with building codes, quality control documentation, and technical compliance reporting strengthens your application. Professional certifications in construction inspection or project management are a practical differentiator.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at GFT?
The H-1B process follows a strict annual calendar. USCIS registration opens in March, with a selection lottery shortly after and an earliest employment start date of October 1. You'll need a signed offer from GFT before registration opens, and your employer must file the Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. Build at least six months of lead time into your job search.
