Align your credentials to GHD's project sectors
GHD hires senior project managers across infrastructure, water, energy, and environmental consulting. Framing your resume around sector-specific delivery experience, not generic PM methodology, signals you can step into billable client work immediately.
Target GHD's active infrastructure and environment pipelines
GHD concentrates senior PM hiring around large multi-year programs. Searching open roles filtered by practice area helps you identify where active delivery pipelines exist, which translates directly to stronger employer motivation to sponsor.
Prepare your PMP or equivalent certification early
GHD's senior PM roles consistently list professional project management certification as a requirement. Having PMP, PMI-ACP, or an equivalent credential documented before you apply removes a common obstacle during offer negotiations with talent acquisition teams.
Understand GHD's PERM timeline for EB-2 and EB-3 paths
GHD sponsors Green Cards through both EB-2 and EB-3 categories. PERM labor certification typically adds 12 to 18 months to the process, so raising permanent residency sponsorship early in offer discussions gives you and GHD realistic planning timelines.
Use Migrate Mate to surface GHD Senior Project Management openings
GHD posts senior PM roles across multiple regions and practice areas at different times. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for GHD roles with visa sponsorship so you can apply to the right openings without sorting through listings that exclude international candidates.
Clarify TN eligibility before your offer stage
Canadian and Mexican nationals with engineering or management science degrees may qualify for TN status, which GHD sponsors. Confirming your degree classification aligns with DOL's TN professional categories before your offer letter is drafted prevents delays during onboarding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does GHD sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
GHD does not appear in recent H-1B visa sponsorship records for Senior Project Management roles. The visa types GHD actively sponsors for this function include F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, J-1 visa, and permanent residency pathways through EB-2 and EB-3. If H-1B visa sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, confirming this directly with GHD's talent acquisition team during the offer stage is the most reliable approach.
Which visa types does GHD commonly sponsor for Senior Project Management roles?
GHD sponsors F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for recent graduates entering senior PM roles, TN status for qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1 for exchange-based arrangements, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. The right category depends on your nationality, degree field, and where you are in your career. GHD's HR team determines which path fits each candidate's profile during the offer process.
What qualifications and experience does GHD expect for Senior Project Management positions?
GHD's senior PM roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related technical discipline, along with substantial delivery experience on complex infrastructure or consulting projects. Professional certification such as PMP is frequently listed as a requirement. Prior experience managing client relationships in a consulting environment, where you own project financials and deliverables simultaneously, is a practical differentiator GHD's hiring teams look for.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at GHD?
Applications go through GHD's careers portal, where roles are listed by practice area and geography. Because GHD hires senior PMs across infrastructure, water, energy, and environment, filtering by sector aligns your application with active delivery pipelines rather than evergreen postings. Migrate Mate aggregates GHD's open Senior Project Management roles with visa sponsorship indicated, so you can identify the right openings before going directly to GHD's portal to submit your application.
How long does GHD's visa sponsorship process take for Senior Project Management hires?
Timeline depends heavily on visa category. F-1 OPT authorization is typically in place before you start. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the border on your start date, while Mexican nationals go through consular processing. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship involves PERM labor certification through DOL, which typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS petition filing, so initiating that conversation with your hiring manager well before your first day is advisable.
