How to Get Visa Sponsorship in GHD Visa Sponsorship USA
Target Green Card-focused roles
GHD's sponsorship history skews heavily toward permanent residency pathways rather than temporary work visas. If you're looking for an employer willing to invest in your long-term immigration, GHD's consulting and engineering roles are worth prioritizing.
Lead with your specialty in consulting or engineering
GHD works across infrastructure, environment, and construction advisory. Roles requiring specialized technical expertise in these fields are most likely to qualify for sponsored immigration pathways, so tailor your application to highlight domain-specific skills.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship before applying
Not every job posting at GHD will mention visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications on roles where GHD has an established track record.
Engage with GHD's graduate and early-career programs
GHD's J-1 sponsorship suggests openness to exchange program participants and early-career international professionals. If you're entering the consulting or engineering field, these programs can serve as a structured entry point toward longer-term sponsorship.

Does GHD sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, GHD has not recently filed H-1B petitions. Their immigration sponsorship activity has focused on Green Card pathways, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, along with support for F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa holders. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, it's worth discussing directly with GHD's recruiting team during the application process.
What visa types does GHD sponsor?
GHD sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visas, and J-1 exchange visas. Their sponsorship profile suggests a preference for supporting professionals through permanent residency routes rather than temporary nonimmigrant work visas, which is relatively uncommon and can be a significant advantage for candidates focused on long-term career growth in the United States.
Which roles at GHD are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
GHD operates primarily in engineering, environmental consulting, and infrastructure advisory. Roles requiring specialized technical expertise in these fields, such as civil engineers, environmental scientists, project managers, and construction consultants, are most commonly associated with employer-sponsored immigration. Positions that clearly require a specific degree and disciplined expertise tend to qualify most cleanly for EB-2 and EB-3 PERM-based sponsorship.
How do I find open jobs at GHD that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find GHD roles with confirmed sponsorship history. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate filters positions by verified employer sponsorship data, so you can see whether GHD is actively hiring for visa-eligible roles without relying on vague 'willing to sponsor' language in job descriptions. This saves significant time during a job search where every week counts.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take at GHD?
The EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card process typically spans several years from the start of PERM labor certification to final approval, depending on your country of birth and the current visa backlog. Indian and Chinese nationals face significantly longer wait times due to per-country caps. GHD's willingness to sponsor Green Cards means they're prepared for this timeline, but you should discuss the process with their HR team and an immigration attorney early in your tenure.
