Align your experience with Nordstrom's fulfillment priorities
Nordstrom runs both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce fulfillment operations. Frame your resume around inventory accuracy, omnichannel logistics, or distribution center efficiency, the specific language Nordstrom uses in its Operations job postings.
Clarify your visa status before applying
Nordstrom's Operations hiring moves quickly. Know exactly what authorization you hold, how long it's valid, and whether you need sponsorship now or at a future date. Ambiguity early in the process can stall an otherwise strong candidacy.
Target roles that justify a specialty occupation filing
H-1B sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards. Operations Analyst, Supply Chain Planner, and Inventory Optimization roles are stronger fits than general floor supervisor positions, which may not clear that bar.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Nordstrom Operations openings by visa type
Migrate Mate lets you filter Nordstrom's Operations listings by the specific visa types they sponsor, so you're only applying to roles where your visa category is already supported, saving time and avoiding dead-end applications.
Understand TN visa eligibility for Operations roles
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status in categories like Management Consultant or Industrial Engineer depending on the role's actual duties. Confirm with USCIS guidance that your specific Operations title and responsibilities match a recognized TN occupation before relying on this path.
Prepare for PERM timing if you're pursuing permanent residence
EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through Nordstrom requires PERM labor certification through DOL, a process that typically takes one to two years before an I-140 petition can even be filed. Factor that timeline into your long-term career planning.

Find Operations at Nordstrom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Nordstrom sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Nordstrom sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Operations positions. The role must meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, which generally means it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Analytical and planning-focused Operations titles tend to qualify more readily than general supervisory roles. Confirming the degree requirement for your target role before applying is the right approach.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Nordstrom?
Applications go through Nordstrom's careers site. Browse open Operations roles, filter by location and job type, and apply directly. If you need visa sponsorship, look for roles where sponsorship is listed or confirmed. Migrate Mate aggregates Nordstrom's Operations listings and lets you filter by visa type, so you can identify the right openings without manually reviewing each posting.
Which visa types does Nordstrom commonly sponsor for Operations positions?
Nordstrom sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Operations roles. F-1 OPT is a practical starting point for recent graduates, while H-1B sponsorship suits experienced candidates in analytical or planning functions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories.
What qualifications does Nordstrom expect for sponsored Operations roles?
Nordstrom typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business operations, or a closely related field. For H-1B eligibility, that degree-to-role alignment is not just preferred but required under USCIS standards. Hands-on experience with inventory systems, logistics platforms, or retail fulfillment workflows strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Nordstrom Operations hires?
For H-1B sponsorship, Nordstrom must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the USCIS petition. Standard USCIS processing runs several months; premium processing reduces that to 15 business days. If you're on F-1 OPT, you can typically start while the H-1B is pending. Green Card timelines through PERM and I-140 are longer, often spanning multiple years depending on your priority date.
