Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Construction Project Manager Jobs at Clayco Jobs
Align your credentials with Clayco's project scope
Clayco pursues large-scale design-build projects. Highlight experience managing ground-up construction, coordinating subcontractors, and tracking schedules in your resume so recruiters can immediately connect your background to active project needs.
Target roles tied to active project pipelines
Clayco staffs up around awarded contracts in markets like data centers, healthcare, and industrial facilities. Search for Construction Project Manager openings in regions where Clayco has announced new projects, because those positions carry the strongest urgency to fill.
Clarify your visa category early in conversations
Construction project management falls squarely within H-1B specialty occupation criteria when tied to a relevant engineering or construction management degree. During initial recruiter calls, confirm your visa type upfront so Clayco's HR team can loop in legal counsel without delays.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Not every job posting signals genuine sponsorship willingness. Use Migrate Mate to identify Clayco's Construction Project Manager listings that are confirmed to support visa sponsorship, saving you from chasing postings that exclude international candidates.
Account for PERM timing if you're targeting a Green Card
If Clayco initiates PERM labor certification for a permanent role, DOL processing runs several months before the I-140 petition even reaches USCIS. Factor that into your timeline when evaluating an offer, especially if you're in a late OPT or H-1B validity window.
Prepare a project portfolio that speaks to specialty occupation standards
USCIS scrutinizes construction roles for specialty occupation eligibility. Documenting projects where your engineering or construction management degree was directly applied, such as structural coordination, value engineering reviews, or permitting oversight, strengthens the H-1B petition your employer files on your behalf.

Does Clayco sponsor H-1B visas for Construction Project Managers?
Yes, Clayco sponsors H-1B visas for Construction Project Manager roles. The position qualifies as a specialty occupation when the applicant holds a relevant bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. Clayco works with immigration counsel to file the required Labor Condition Application with DOL and the H-1B petition with USCIS on the employee's behalf.
How do I apply for Construction Project Manager jobs at Clayco?
You can browse and apply for Construction Project Manager openings at Clayco directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsorship-friendly listings in one place. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect design-build project experience and clearly indicate your visa status so Clayco's recruiting team can route your application appropriately from the start.
Which visa types does Clayco commonly use for Construction Project Manager roles?
Clayco sponsors several visa categories for this function, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals with qualifying engineering or management credentials, and F-1 OPT or CPT for candidates in their post-graduation work authorization window. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Clayco has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM process.
What qualifications does Clayco expect for Construction Project Manager roles?
Clayco typically looks for a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture, combined with hands-on experience managing construction schedules, budgets, and subcontractor relationships on large commercial or industrial projects. For H-1B sponsorship purposes, the degree must be directly relevant to the role, so a general business degree alone is unlikely to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements for this position.
How do I plan my timeline around Clayco's H-1B sponsorship process?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March for an October 1 start date, so you need to secure an offer and complete registration well before that window. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and whether a STEM extension applies, since a gap between OPT expiration and H-1B activation can affect your work authorization. USCIS premium processing, currently available for H-1B petitions, can shorten adjudication to around 15 business days if timing is tight.
