Target technical and software roles first
Covetrus's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technology and software functions. Focus your search on engineering, data, and platform roles where the company has the clearest precedent for supporting international candidates through the visa process.
Understand the visa types Covetrus supports
Covetrus sponsors H-1B, TN, and Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3, plus F-1 OPT and CPT. Knowing which category fits your situation before you apply helps you ask informed questions and signals to recruiters that you've done your homework.
Highlight veterinary or healthcare tech experience
Covetrus operates at the intersection of technology and animal health. Candidates who can demonstrate experience in healthcare software, practice management systems, or veterinary platforms will stand out in a competitive applicant pool for sponsored roles.
Ask about sponsorship early but professionally
Covetrus has a documented track record of sponsoring visas, so the question isn't whether they sponsor, it's whether the specific role qualifies. Raise sponsorship during the offer stage, after demonstrating your value, rather than in early screening calls.
Look for roles with specialty occupation alignment
H-1B eligibility depends on the role meeting specialty occupation criteria. At Covetrus, software engineering, data science, and product roles tend to have the clearest degree requirements. Prioritize applications where your degree field directly matches the job description.
Browse verified sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate
Not every Covetrus job posting will mention visa sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find Covetrus openings where international candidates have a documented path to authorization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Covetrus sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Covetrus does sponsor H-1B visas. Sponsorship tends to be focused on technology and software roles where the position meets the specialty occupation standard, typically requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical field. If you're targeting Covetrus, roles in software engineering, data, and product development are the most likely candidates for H-1B support.
Which visa types does Covetrus sponsor?
Covetrus sponsors several visa categories including H-1B, TN visa, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates. This range of visa types makes Covetrus accessible to candidates at different stages of their immigration journey, from initial work authorization through permanent residency.
What departments or roles at Covetrus are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Covetrus is most common in technology and software functions, including software engineering, data analytics, and product development. These roles align with specialty occupation requirements under the H-1B and tend to require specific technical degrees, which strengthens the petition. Candidates targeting operations, sales, or general management roles may find sponsorship less consistently available.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Covetrus?
Covetrus doesn't always flag sponsorship eligibility in individual job postings, which makes it harder to identify the right opportunities through general searches. Migrate Mate aggregates roles from verified sponsoring employers, including Covetrus, so you can search specifically for positions with a documented sponsorship history rather than guessing from a standard job listing.
How do I approach the sponsorship conversation when applying to Covetrus?
Raise sponsorship after you've demonstrated your qualifications, ideally at the offer or late-interview stage. Covetrus has supported international candidates across multiple visa categories, so the process is familiar to their HR team. Come prepared with clarity on your visa status, your preferred category, and your timeline, this makes the conversation practical rather than preliminary and signals you're ready to move quickly.
