The Team
As a Revenue Cycle - CDM Consultant, you will partner with healthcare organizations to improve revenue integrity by optimizing revenue cycle and charge master processes, reducing denials, improving cash flow and net revenue, and minimizing compliance risk.
You Will Be
- Conducting audits of technical and professional services, including Evaluation & Management, diagnostic, and surgical coding, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Performing Evaluation & Management level coding to support customer resource and operational needs.
- Reviewing Charge Description Master (CDM) line items to ensure accurate, compliant coding and billing.
- Participating in revenue cycle assessments to support timely and high-quality engagement delivery.
- Participating in CDM reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completion within agreed timelines.
- Assuming charge master outsource responsibilities to support customer staffing and operational gaps.
- Assessing customer claims using Bill Analyzer to identify missed charges, billing errors, and potential compliance risks.
- Reviewing denied claims and preparing appeal documentation to support appropriate reimbursement.
- Collaborating closely with customers and internal teams to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- CPC, COC, or CCS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, coding standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with hospital financial systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Craneware tools (including Chargemaster Toolkit and Bill Analyzer).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
