Frame your PMP credentials for consulting
CrossCountry evaluates candidates on client-facing delivery, not just certification. Highlight PMP or PMI-ACP credentials alongside specific audit or financial systems implementations to show you can lead billable engagements from day one.
Research CrossCountry's active consulting verticals
CrossCountry staffs Project Management Consultants heavily in accounting transformation and compliance engagements. Targeting your application toward those practice areas increases your fit score and signals awareness of where the firm actually places this role.
Use Migrate Mate to find open PM roles
CrossCountry posts Project Management Consultant openings across multiple offices and practice areas at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter for sponsorship-eligible listings at CrossCountry specifically, so you apply to positions already flagged for visa support.
Clarify your visa category before the offer stage
CrossCountry sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for this role, but each has different employer obligations and timelines. Know which category applies to you before the offer conversation so you can ask the right questions without stalling the process.
Understand the LCA requirement for your start date
Before CrossCountry can file your H-1B or E-3 petition, the DOL must certify a Labor Condition Application confirming prevailing wage compliance. LCA certification typically takes seven business days, so factor that into your expected start date when negotiating.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
H-1B specialty occupation petitions for Project Management Consultants require a direct nexus between your degree field and the role. If your degree is outside the U.S. or in an adjacent field, get a credential evaluation completed before USCIS scrutinizes the petition.

Find Project Management Consultant at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Project Management Consultants?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Project Management Consultants. The firm has an established pattern of supporting international hires in this function across its accounting and auditing practice areas. Because H-1B sponsorship requires an approved Labor Condition Application from the DOL before USCIS filing, the process typically begins several weeks before your intended start date. Confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role and office location early in the interview process.
How do I apply for Project Management Consultant jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse and apply for Project Management Consultant roles at CrossCountry Consulting directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for sponsorship-eligible positions. CrossCountry recruits for this role across multiple U.S. offices and practice areas, and openings vary by engagement pipeline. Applying with a resume that emphasizes client-facing project delivery in accounting or financial systems contexts will strengthen your candidacy for the roles most likely to carry visa sponsorship.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting commonly use for Project Management Consultants?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors several visa categories for Project Management Consultants, including the H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT for recent graduates, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category depends on your nationality, education, and career stage. Each visa type has different filing requirements, lead times, and employer cost structures, so confirm which pathway applies to your situation before your offer is finalized.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for Project Management Consultant roles?
CrossCountry typically looks for a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, accounting, finance, or information systems, along with demonstrable experience leading project workstreams in a consulting or professional services environment. PMP certification strengthens an application, particularly for senior-level engagements. Because CrossCountry serves accounting and auditing clients, experience with ERP implementations, financial close transformations, or compliance projects is especially relevant to how this role is scoped and staffed.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Project Management Consultant role at CrossCountry Consulting?
The timeline depends on your visa category. F-1 OPT authorization can begin quickly if your EAD is already approved. H-1B sponsorship outside the lottery requires cap-exempt eligibility or waiting for the next April filing window, with work authorization starting October 1 at the earliest. E-3 and TN petitions process faster and are not subject to annual caps. Build at least four to eight weeks of lead time into your expected start date to account for DOL and USCIS processing across any pathway.
