Frame Your Credentials for Advisory Roles
CrossCountry looks for Service Advisors who can demonstrate both technical accounting knowledge and client engagement experience. When preparing your resume, align your credentials to client-facing advisory work, not just back-office functions, to match the role's positioning.
Target Offices with Active Client Portfolios
CrossCountry's Service Advisor openings tend to cluster around practice areas with active client demand. Research which industry verticals they serve most, then tailor your application to demonstrate direct experience in those sectors before reaching out to recruiters.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Open Roles
Service Advisor openings at CrossCountry move quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter and monitor positions by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to live roles that match your authorization needs before they fill.
Understand the LCA Filing Requirement
Before your H-1B or E-3 petition can be filed, CrossCountry's employer of record must submit a Labor Condition Application to the DOL certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for your role and location. Delays here can push your start date, so ask your recruiter about typical LCA turnaround times.
Plan Around OPT Cap-Gap if You Are on F-1
If you are on F-1 OPT and CrossCountry files an H-1B petition on your behalf, your status is protected by the cap-gap provision through September 30 of the petition year. Confirm your OPT end date with your DSO and ensure CrossCountry files before that date to avoid a work authorization gap.

Find Service Advisor at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Service Advisors?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Service Advisor roles. The firm works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions for qualified candidates in this function. Because H-1B petitions for cap-subject employees are tied to the annual lottery, timing your application cycle with CrossCountry's hiring process matters. Connecting with their recruiting team early in the calendar year gives you the best alignment with the April filing window.
How do I apply for Service Advisor jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
Applications go through CrossCountry Consulting's careers portal, where Service Advisor roles are listed by practice area and location. Migrate Mate also aggregates their sponsored openings, which makes it straightforward to filter specifically for roles where visa sponsorship is available. Tailor your application to highlight client-facing advisory experience, since that is what the role emphasizes, and note your visa requirements clearly in the process.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting commonly use for Service Advisor roles?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B, E-3, EB-2, EB-3, TN, and F-1 OPT for Service Advisor positions. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable status. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying accounting or advisory roles may be eligible for TN status. F-1 OPT holders can start on post-completion OPT while an H-1B petition is prepared for the following cap season.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for sponsored Service Advisor roles?
CrossCountry typically expects a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field for Service Advisor roles, since specialty occupation classification under the H-1B and E-3 requires a direct relationship between your degree and the position. Client-facing consulting experience, familiarity with accounting advisory workflows, and strong communication skills are weighted heavily. A CPA license or progress toward one strengthens your profile, particularly for roles with higher client responsibility.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Service Advisor offer at CrossCountry Consulting?
Timeline depends on the visa category. E-3 and TN approvals can happen within weeks of receiving an offer, since both are processed at a consulate or port of entry without a petition queue. H-1B petitions require DOL LCA certification first, which takes around seven business days, then USCIS adjudication. Standard processing runs three to six months; premium processing through USCIS can reduce the adjudication window to 15 business days for an additional fee paid by the employer.
