You’ll bring your first-hand experience, unique perspectives, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored integrated solutions that help our clients solve today’s challenges and set the foundation for future success. As an Associate Director at CrossCountry Consulting you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, leading teams and developing junior team members, and participating in business development activities. In today’s competitive deal market, Private Equity is increasingly turning to operational enhancements as a driver for value creation in their investment portfolio. It is essential for Private Equity funds to have a portfolio support team, either internally or externally, to guide CFOs as they build scalable billing and revenue management capabilities that support the investment thesis. We are experienced operators who serve as an extension of leading Private Equity sponsors to drive meaningful and sustainable operational changes across their portfolios.

Act as a billing and revenue management SME across platforms (NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM)/ SuiteBilling, Zone Billing, Zuora Revenue (RevPro), and related subscription/usage-based tools), including guidance on configuring revenue rules, allocations, amortization schedules, and automated revenue waterfall reporting.
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of usage-based and consumption billing models to support AI-era pricing strategies, including metered billing, tiered consumption, prepaid credit drawdown, and hybrid subscription-plus-usage structures.
Help companies operationalize ASC 606 / IFRS 15-compliant revenue recognition policies, including multi-element arrangements, variable consideration, stand-alone selling price (SSP) allocation, and contract modification accounting within their billing and ERP systems.
Lead cross-functional project teams (NetSuite consultants, billing platform specialists, Private Equity consultants, and client stakeholders) across billing, revenue, and financial reporting workstreams, while mentoring team members through coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews to resolve multi-faceted issues.
Design and implement integration architectures between billing platforms, CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), ERP (NetSuite), CPQ tools, and data warehouses to create a seamless quote-to-revenue data flow.
Work with your project team to develop management reporting and analytics around key SaaS metrics, including ARR, MRR, net revenue retention, usage/consumption trends, and product-level profitability.
Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio company representatives and Private Equity sponsors, collaborating with CrossCountry team members to scope, clarify, and deliver excellent client service.
Actively participate in business development opportunities and market a full range of billing, revenue, and technology enablement services to prospective clients, including using existing relationships to generate new opportunities.

Frame your credentials around U.S. engagement delivery
CrossCountry Project Directors are expected to lead client-facing engagements independently. Before applying, reframe your resume around U.S.-style deliverables, not job titles. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims, so your materials need to show degree-to-role alignment in accounting or management consulting.
Identify which practice area is hiring
CrossCountry organizes hiring around practices like Finance Transformation, Risk, and Technical Accounting. Targeting the right practice matters because Project Director openings are driven by active client demand, not general headcount. Applying to a practice where you have direct delivery experience significantly improves your odds.
Search verified sponsoring roles on Migrate Mate
Filter Project Director openings at CrossCountry Consulting by visa type on Migrate Mate to confirm which roles are actively sponsoring before you apply. This saves you from pursuing openings where sponsorship is listed as possible but hasn't been exercised for this seniority level.
Clarify the LCA wage tier early in negotiations
CrossCountry must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before your H-1B petition, certifying your salary meets the prevailing wage for your location and level. At the Project Director level, this typically falls into a higher wage tier, so confirm the offered salary covers that threshold before you sign anything.
Distinguish E-3 eligibility from H-1B before your first interview
If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 visa is a faster, cap-exempt alternative to H-1B that CrossCountry also sponsors. Flag your nationality early in the process so recruiting and HR can route your file correctly. Waiting until offer stage creates unnecessary delays in petition preparation.
Account for PERM timing if you want a Green Card path
Project Directors at consulting firms often pursue EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship over time. PERM labor certification through the DOL can take 12 to 18 months even without audit, so raise long-term sponsorship intentions during offer discussions rather than after your H-1B is already filed.
Project Director at CrossCountry Consulting jobs are hiring across the US. Find yours.
Find Project Director at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Project Directors?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Project Director roles. Sponsorship at this level is tied to active client engagements, so openings that include sponsorship tend to be in practices with strong pipeline demand, particularly in Finance Transformation and Technical Accounting. Confirming sponsorship availability before applying is the right move given how variable this can be across individual openings.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting use for Project Director roles?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors several visa types for Project Directors, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, F-1 OPT for recent graduates transitioning into consulting roles, and immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term sponsorship. The right visa depends on your nationality, education, and where you are in your career.
What qualifications and experience does CrossCountry Consulting expect for Project Directors?
CrossCountry typically expects Project Director candidates to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with substantial client-facing consulting experience. CPA licensure or equivalent credentials strengthen your profile considerably, especially for roles in audit, technical accounting, or financial reporting. Prior experience managing teams and owning deliverables on complex engagements is generally expected at this level.
How do I apply for Project Director jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse and apply for Project Director openings at CrossCountry Consulting directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you're not applying blind. When you apply, tailor your materials to the specific practice area you're targeting. CrossCountry's recruiting process typically involves multiple rounds with both HR and practice leadership, so be prepared to discuss engagement delivery experience in detail.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship for a Project Director role at CrossCountry Consulting?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with registration opening in March for an October 1 start date. If you're not already in H-1B status, that timing constraint shapes your entire job search. Starting conversations with CrossCountry well before the March registration window gives the firm enough time to confirm sponsorship intent and prepare the Labor Condition Application with the DOL before the USCIS filing deadline.
