Frame Your PMP Around Client Deliverables
CrossCountry's Project Managers own client-facing workstreams in accounting and audit transformations. Reframe your resume to highlight deliverables, not just duties. Engagement timelines, stakeholder counts, and budget scope speak directly to how they staff client projects.
Target Roles Tied to Specific Service Lines
CrossCountry organizes Project Manager hiring around practice areas like CFO Advisory and Risk. Applying to a named service line, rather than a generic PM posting, signals fit and increases the chance your application reaches a hiring manager who can champion sponsorship.
Search Open Positions Through Migrate Mate
Browse CrossCountry Consulting's current Project Manager openings on Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-sponsoring employers. You can confirm which roles are actively hiring before investing time in tailoring your application.
Clarify Your Visa Type Before Your Final Interview
CrossCountry sponsors several visa categories, including H-1B and E-3. Before your final-round conversation, confirm with the recruiter which visa types their legal team actively files. For E-3 applicants, the employer's Labor Condition Application must be certified by DOL before your consulate appointment.
Account for H-1B Cap Timing in Your Start Date
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS's cap-subject lottery runs in March for an October 1 start date. Build that window into your offer negotiation. F-1 OPT holders can often bridge the gap, but confirm your OPT expiration date against the expected H-1B validity start.
Document Your Degree Equivalency for Specialty Occupation
USCIS requires a direct nexus between your degree field and a Project Manager role in accounting or audit advisory. If your degree is in a tangential field, gather credential evaluations early. A mismatch here is the most common reason consulting PM petitions receive a Request for Evidence.

Find Project Manager at CrossCountry Consulting JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CrossCountry Consulting sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. Because the position falls under accounting and advisory consulting, it generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Your petition will need to demonstrate that nexus clearly, as USCIS scrutinizes consulting engagements more closely than direct employer roles.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at CrossCountry Consulting?
You can browse and apply for CrossCountry Consulting's open Project Manager positions directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles at employers with a sponsorship track record. Tailor your application to the specific service line you are targeting, whether that is CFO Advisory, Risk, or another practice area, since CrossCountry hires PMs against client demand in each vertical.
Which visa types does CrossCountry Consulting commonly use for Project Manager roles?
CrossCountry Consulting sponsors H-1B, E-3, F-1 OPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for Project Managers. E-3 is available exclusively to Australian citizens and requires a DOL-certified Labor Condition Application. TN is limited to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa depends on your nationality and current immigration status.
What qualifications does CrossCountry Consulting expect for a sponsored Project Manager?
CrossCountry typically looks for a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience managing workstreams in professional services or consulting. PMP certification is often listed as preferred rather than required, but it strengthens both your candidacy and the specialty occupation case USCIS reviews during H-1B adjudication. Client-facing experience in audit or financial advisory is a consistent signal in their job postings.
How do I handle visa timing when negotiating a start date with CrossCountry Consulting?
Timing depends heavily on your current status. If you are on F-1 OPT, your start date is more flexible, but you need to confirm your OPT expiration and any STEM extension eligibility before signing an offer. For cap-subject H-1B applicants, USCIS's lottery registration opens in March and approvals take effect October 1, so a spring offer typically means a deferred start. Communicate your status clearly to CrossCountry's recruiter early so their legal team can plan accordingly.
