Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Project Manager Jobs at Qualcomm Jobs
Frame your PM credentials around hardware programs
Qualcomm's Project Manager roles frequently sit inside silicon or RF engineering programs. Credentials that show you've managed technical milestones, hardware tape-outs, or cross-functional engineering teams will position your application more precisely than generic project management experience.
Target roles in semiconductor product lines specifically
Qualcomm's PM openings cluster around Snapdragon, modem, and connectivity product lines. Applying to roles tied to these programs increases the likelihood your position falls under a business unit with an established H-1B sponsorship workflow rather than a newer or less structured team.
Ask about the LCA filing timeline during offer negotiation
Before accepting an offer, ask whether your start date accommodates the DOL's Labor Condition Application certification window. LCA approval typically takes seven business days, but delays push back your I-129 filing and can compress your transition window if you're changing status.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open PM roles by visa type
Not every open Project Manager listing at Qualcomm will explicitly state sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to filter Qualcomm's current openings by the visa categories they sponsor, so you're applying only to roles where your immigration status is already a known fit.
Prepare a specialty occupation rationale for your specific role
USCIS requires Project Manager positions to meet the specialty occupation standard, which means your role must normally require a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Document how your position requires engineering, technical program management, or a comparable specialized discipline rather than general management.
Project Manager at Qualcomm jobs are hiring across the US. Find yours.
Find Project Manager at Qualcomm JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Qualcomm sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, Qualcomm sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company has a well-established immigration program and regularly files H-1B petitions for technical and program management functions. Because Project Manager positions must qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards, your offer letter and role description need to clearly reflect degree-specific requirements tied to a technical or engineering discipline.
Which visa types does Qualcomm commonly use for Project Manager roles?
Qualcomm sponsors several visa categories for Project Managers, including H-1B, H-1B1 for Chilean and Singaporean nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in eligible degree programs, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, current status, and how long you've been in the U.S.
What qualifications does Qualcomm expect for Project Manager positions?
Qualcomm's Project Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field, combined with hands-on experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in a hardware or semiconductor environment. Familiarity with Agile or stage-gate development processes is common across listings. Roles closer to product or chipset programs may also expect experience with silicon development cycles or RF systems.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at Qualcomm?
You can browse and apply for Project Manager openings at Qualcomm through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your immigration status is a fit before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect technical program scope, not just process management. Qualcomm's recruiting process for PM roles typically includes a recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, and a panel focused on cross-functional execution experience.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Qualcomm once I have an offer?
After an offer is confirmed, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which takes approximately seven business days. The I-129 petition follows and is filed with USCIS, with standard processing taking several months. If your start date is urgent, Qualcomm can request premium processing from USCIS, which targets a 15-business-day adjudication window for an additional fee paid by the employer.
