About the Role:
As an AI-forward Full Stack Product Manager at Crunchbase, you will accelerate how we apply AI, automation, and connected systems across the company. This role sits within the Product organization and focuses on building and evolving internal AI-powered applications that increase operational velocity, reduce manual work, and improve how teams execute. You will identify friction across workflows, redesign brittle processes, and ship practical solutions that meaningfully improve how work gets done. This is not a strategy-only role. You will operate as a builder. You will rapidly design, prototype, and launch internal AI-driven tools. You will not “own” every system, but you will modernize, connect, and evolve them so they work better together and materially reduce operational drag. This role is about applied AI, system-level thinking, and execution at speed.
- Identify and Eliminate Operational Friction:
- Identify manual, repetitive, or brittle workflows across the organization
- Redesign processes using AI, automation, and system-level improvements
- Reduce low-leverage work to create space for higher-value thinking
- Improve interoperability, reliability, and observability across internal systems
- Build and Ship Internal AI Applications:
- Rapidly design, prototype, and launch AI-driven internal applications
- Turn rough ideas into working solutions that can be tested and validated quickly
- Use lightweight, iterative development approaches to accelerate time-to-value
-
Continuously refine and improve tools based on real-world usage and feedback
-
Drive Practical AI Adoption:
- Push the organization toward applied, usable AI — not experimentation for its own sake
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies for pragmatic internal use cases
- Help teams rethink how work gets done in an AI-enabled operating model
-
Ensure AI implementations drive measurable efficiency, speed, or quality improvements
-
Partner Across the Business:
- Work directly with business leaders to understand operational pain points
- Translate ambiguous needs into structured product and technical solutions
- Operate comfortably across Product, Engineering, and business functions
- Align solutions with company-wide goals and measurable outcomes
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or a related technical builder role
- Experience building or implementing AI-powered applications, automation workflows, or internal systems
- Demonstrated experience operating at the intersection of business and engineering
- Track record of rapidly prototyping and launching practical solutions that improve operational efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong technical foundation in AI, internal systems, automation, and modern tooling
- Ability to design, prototype, and ship working AI-driven solutions independently
- Systems thinker who understands both technical architecture and human workflow design
- Comfortable navigating and improving existing tools without rigid definitions or guardrails
- Builder mindset — prototypes quickly, iterates frequently, and ships practical solutions
- Operates effectively in ambiguity and proactively identifies inefficiencies others overlook
- Action-oriented with a strong bias toward execution and measurable outcomes
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured product and technical solutions
- Comfortable working across Product, Engineering, and business functions
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated curiosity and fluency in emerging AI tools and capabilities

Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
Program Manager roles at tech companies like Crunchbase typically require a degree in computer science, information systems, or business. Confirm your transcripts and credential evaluations reflect a direct field-of-study match before applying, since USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation status for this role type.
Target Crunchbase's data and platform teams specifically
Crunchbase's Program Manager openings frequently sit within product and data infrastructure functions. Orienting your resume toward data pipeline coordination, API product delivery, or enterprise SaaS rollout increases relevance and positions you for the roles most likely to include sponsorship support.
Clarify your OPT or TN status before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT or TN status, raise your work authorization situation before the offer letter is drafted. Crunchbase sponsors both, but their HR and legal teams need lead time to confirm the filing path, especially if STEM OPT extension timing is involved.
Understand PERM timing for permanent residence pathways
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through PERM typically takes two to four years from initial filing to approval. If permanent residence is your goal, ask during the offer negotiation whether Crunchbase initiates PERM early in the employment relationship for Program Manager hires.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Program Manager roles
Crunchbase's sponsorship-eligible Program Manager openings don't always surface through general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for verified sponsoring employers in the technology sector, so you're applying to roles where immigration support is already confirmed.
Prepare for cross-functional scope questions in interviews
Crunchbase's Program Manager interviews assess ownership of ambiguous, multi-team initiatives. Frame your past work around measurable delivery outcomes across engineering, product, and go-to-market functions, since that cross-functional fluency is what differentiates candidates in their hiring process.

Does Crunchbase sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
Crunchbase's primary sponsorship pathways for Program Managers include F-1 OPT, TN, and permanent residence categories like EB-2 and EB-3, rather than direct H-1B sponsorship. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, a transfer is possible, but confirm the role's sponsorship scope directly with Crunchbase's recruiting team before advancing through interviews.
Which visa types are commonly used for Program Manager roles at Crunchbase?
Crunchbase supports F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, EB-2, and EB-3 pathways for Program Manager hires. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering the role, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose degree and job duties meet the USMCA category requirements. EB-2 and EB-3 are the routes for longer-term permanent residence sponsorship.
What qualifications and experience does Crunchbase expect for Program Manager roles?
Crunchbase's Program Manager openings in the technology and data space typically expect experience managing cross-functional software or data product initiatives, familiarity with agile delivery methodologies, and strong stakeholder communication skills. A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business field is standard. Roles closer to the data infrastructure side often favor candidates with exposure to API products or enterprise SaaS environments.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at Crunchbase?
You can browse open Program Manager roles through Crunchbase's careers page or find sponsorship-verified listings through Migrate Mate, which filters for employers with confirmed immigration support. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect the cross-functional delivery experience Crunchbase emphasizes, and be prepared to address your work authorization status clearly in early recruiter conversations.
How do I time my application given F-1 OPT expiration deadlines?
If your F-1 OPT expires within six months, prioritize roles where Crunchbase can confirm sponsorship support quickly. STEM OPT extension gives you up to 24 additional months if your degree qualifies, which reduces urgency. File your STEM OPT extension application with USCIS at least 90 days before your current OPT end date to avoid a gap in work authorization during the hiring process.
