Target engineering and technical roles
Daikin Applied's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines tied to HVAC design, controls, and manufacturing engineering. Focus your application on roles where a specialized degree is clearly required, these are the positions most likely to qualify for H-1B sponsorship.
Leverage F-1 OPT as your entry point
Daikin Applied sponsors F-1 OPT, making it a viable first employer for recent international graduates. Starting on OPT gives you time to demonstrate value before the company considers long-term H-1B sponsorship, a common pathway in manufacturing-heavy employers.
Understand the TN visa option if you're Canadian or Mexican
Daikin Applied sponsors TN visas, which is a strong signal for Canadian and Mexican engineers. TN sponsorship in manufacturing typically covers engineers and scientists, confirm your specific role qualifies under the TN occupational categories before applying.
Apply well ahead of the H-1B cap season
H-1B registrations open in March each year and require employer action. If you're targeting a full-time role at Daikin Applied with H-1B sponsorship, aim to have an offer finalized by January or February so HR has sufficient time to file.
Research open roles with verified sponsorship history
Not every job listing makes sponsorship eligibility clear. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, useful when targeting manufacturing employers like Daikin Applied where sponsorship is role-dependent.
Align your degree field to the specific role
H-1B specialty occupation requires a direct connection between your degree and the job. At Daikin Applied, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering degrees typically support sponsorship for product development and controls roles, a marketing or business degree likely will not.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Daikin Applied sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Daikin Applied sponsors H-1B visas. Sponsorship is primarily concentrated in technical and engineering functions tied to the company's core manufacturing operations. If you're applying for a role that requires a specialized degree in a field like mechanical or electrical engineering, H-1B sponsorship is a realistic outcome, though it's always worth confirming eligibility directly with the hiring team during the interview process.
Which visa types does Daikin Applied sponsor?
Daikin Applied sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visa, and J-1 visas. This range of visa types suggests the company actively recruits international talent at multiple career stages, from students on CPT and OPT to experienced professionals seeking H-1B or TN visa status. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles may find the TN pathway particularly accessible.
Which departments or roles at Daikin Applied are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Daikin Applied is most common in engineering and technical disciplines tied to HVAC product development, controls engineering, systems design, and manufacturing operations. These roles typically require a specific bachelor's degree or higher, which satisfies the specialty occupation standard for H-1B eligibility. Corporate support functions with generalist degree requirements are less likely to qualify.
What is the typical timeline for securing visa sponsorship at Daikin Applied?
Timeline depends on which visa type applies to your situation. F-1 OPT authorization can begin close to your start date with relatively short lead times. H-1B sponsorship follows the federal cap cycle, registrations open in March, with employment typically starting October 1 if selected. TN visas can often be processed faster, sometimes at the port of entry, making them a quicker path for eligible Canadian and Mexican applicants.
How do I find open roles at Daikin Applied that offer visa sponsorship?
