ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Total Rewards Benefits Operate Senior Consultant, you will support work by contributing to Health & Welfare (H&W) benefits administration implementations and enabling a smooth transition to ongoing operations. - Document H&W plan rules and administration requirements (e.g., eligibility, enrollment, life events, EoI, deductions, billing, carrier/vendor feeds, reporting).
- Build and maintain key implementation artifacts (requirements traceability, decision logs, RAID logs, status updates, implementation schedules).
- Advise on end-to-end H&W administration capabilities across traditional provider platforms (e.g., enrollment experience, rules engines, eligibility, communications, carrier connectivity).
- Support operational process design (exception handling, case processes, reconciliation, member experience touchpoints).
- Assist with test planning and execution for integrations and deductions (test scenarios, test data, defect triage, results documentation).
- Help identify and escalate risks tied to data quality, timing, and payroll close dependencies.
- Develop or support creation of readiness artifacts (SOP drafts, RACI inputs, escalation paths, training/job aids, service metrics).
- Support hypercare activities: issue tracking, root cause analysis support, communication to stakeholders, and documentation of fixes.
- Partner effectively with client stakeholders across Total Rewards, HR, HRIT, Payroll, Finance, and vendors.

Align your credentials to Deloitte's practice areas
Deloitte evaluates consultants by practice fit, not just general business background. Before applying, map your degree and experience to a specific service line, such as Strategy, Technology, or Risk Advisory, so your application signals a clear placement path.
Target business analyst and consultant pipelines directly
Deloitte fills most consultant-level roles through campus recruiting and structured analyst programs. If you're transitioning from OPT, apply through the experienced hire track and reference your specific industry vertical to avoid being filtered into entry-level pipelines.
Confirm visa type eligibility before your offer stage
Deloitte sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, and EB-2 or EB-3 pathways. If you're Australian, clarifying E-3 eligibility early can accelerate your start date, since E-3 processing at a consulate often moves faster than a change-of-status H-1B petition filed with USCIS.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Deloitte posts roles across dozens of locations and service lines, making it hard to identify which listings align with your visa category. Migrate Mate lets you filter Professional Services Consultant openings at Deloitte by the sponsorship types you actually qualify for.
Prepare for client-facing clearance requirements early
Many Deloitte consulting engagements require government or financial sector client clearances that carry residency or citizenship conditions. Ask during the offer process which practice lines have clearance-restricted projects, so your placement options aren't narrowed after you've accepted.
Understand how PERM timing affects your green card path
If you're targeting EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship through Deloitte, DOL's PERM labor certification process typically begins only after you've held a permanent role for a qualifying period. Ask your recruiter which seniority levels are eligible for employer-sponsored PERM filings.

Find Professional Services Consultant at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants and has a dedicated immigration team that manages the process. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are subject to the annual lottery, Deloitte typically coordinates filings in March for an October 1 start. Candidates on OPT should confirm their graduation timeline aligns with this window during the offer stage.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at Deloitte?
Applications go through Deloitte's career portal, where roles are organized by service line and location. For experienced hires, tailor your resume to the specific practice area you're targeting, such as Technology Consulting or Human Capital, rather than applying broadly. Migrate Mate is a practical starting point to identify which Deloitte consultant openings currently include visa sponsorship.
Which visa types does Deloitte commonly sponsor for Professional Services Consultants?
Deloitte sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for most international consultants. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and allows consular processing for faster activation. For longer-term pathways, Deloitte also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for consultants who reach qualifying seniority levels within the firm.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Professional Services Consultant roles?
Deloitte generally expects a bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the consulting practice, such as finance, computer science, engineering, or business. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning the degree requirement is tied directly to the job function. Industry certifications and prior client-facing experience strengthen applications for experienced hire tracks.
How do I time my application given H-1B lottery and visa processing constraints?
If you're on OPT, the critical window is receiving an offer before March so Deloitte can submit your H-1B registration in the annual lottery. If you're selected, USCIS issues a receipt by May and the petition is adjudicated before October 1. Cap-exempt pathways like E-3 or H-1B1 don't follow this calendar and can be filed year-round, which gives Australian and Chilean or Singaporean nationals more flexibility.
