Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires H-1B roles to qualify as specialty occupations, meaning a specific bachelor's degree field must be tied to the position. For Program Specialist roles, a degree in business administration, project management, or a related technical field strengthens your petition considerably.
Target Deloitte's government and public sector practice
Program Specialist openings within Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice tend to involve structured program delivery work that maps cleanly to specialty occupation criteria. Prioritizing these business units can improve both your fit and your sponsorship case.
Find open roles using Migrate Mate
Deloitte regularly posts Program Specialist positions across practice areas and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is actively offered for this function.
Ask about Labor Condition Application timing before accepting
Before signing an offer, confirm that Deloitte's mobility team has initiated the LCA filing with DOL. LCA certification is a prerequisite for the H-1B petition, and delays here can push your start date back by weeks.
Prepare your employment verification documents early
Deloitte uses E-Verify for onboarding, so have your work authorization documents organized before your first day. Any gap or inconsistency in your I-9 documentation can delay your start date even after your visa petition is approved.
Understand how internal transfers affect your status
If you move from one Deloitte service line or office location to another after your H-1B is approved, your employer may need to file an amended petition with USCIS. Clarify Deloitte's internal transfer policy with HR before accepting a rotation or reassignment.

Find Program Specialist at Deloitte JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Deloitte sponsor H-1B visas for Program Specialists?
Yes, Deloitte sponsors H-1B visas for Program Specialist roles across its practice areas. The sponsorship process is managed through Deloitte's internal global mobility and immigration teams, which coordinate the Labor Condition Application with DOL and the H-1B petition with USCIS. Sponsorship availability can vary by business unit and location, so confirm during the offer stage.
Which visa types does Deloitte sponsor for Program Specialist roles?
Deloitte sponsors several visa categories for Program Specialist positions, including the H-1B and H-1B1 for candidates from Chile and Singapore, the E-3 for Australian citizens, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. The right category depends on your nationality, qualifications, and how long you've been with the firm.
What qualifications does Deloitte expect for Program Specialist roles?
Deloitte typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, public administration, management, or a related field. Program Specialist positions often require demonstrated experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, or program delivery. Roles within the Government and Public Services practice may also expect familiarity with federal contracting environments or program management frameworks such as PMP.
How do I apply for Program Specialist jobs at Deloitte?
You can search for Program Specialist openings directly on Deloitte's careers site or use Migrate Mate to browse roles filtered by visa sponsorship type. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect program delivery experience and degree alignment with the role. After submitting, Deloitte's recruiting process typically includes a phone screen, behavioral interviews, and a case or work sample assessment depending on the practice area.
How do I know if a Deloitte Program Specialist role will support my Green Card process?
Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification is generally available to longer-tenured Deloitte employees rather than new hires. EB-2 and EB-3 pathways both require PERM filing with DOL before USCIS adjudication. Raise the topic with your recruiter or HR business partner after receiving an offer, and ask specifically whether the role is eligible for permanent residence sponsorship under Deloitte's immigration policy.
