Job Responsibilities
Program Management:
- Own program P&L with explicit margin accountability — accountable for financial outcomes across assigned programs, not oversight only.
- Design, build, and restructure the program team as needed to meet operational demands; evaluate team structure, right-sizing, and capability gaps.
- Develop and maintain C-suite-level client relationships, representing us at the highest levels of client organizations.
- Contribute to our strategic pipeline decisions — provide input on which programs and clients we pursue, based on operational capacity, margin potential, and strategic fit.
- Take direct control of programs in serious jeopardy — financial, schedule, or client-relationship crises — and drive them back to stable operation.
- Refine and improve operational procedures across programs; establish program-wide standards for schedule, financial reporting, procurement, and stakeholder communication.
- Present and defend Business Case Reviews to Executive Leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of program Managers; accountable for their performance, retention, and professional development.
- Champion leadership development within the program; support the progression of Managers, Senior PMs, and high-potential PMs.
- Champion safety and quality culture across the program.
- Ensure consistent execution of our standards and best practices across all assigned programs.
- Represent assigned programs in senior enterprise forums; translate cross-program lessons learned into organizational practices and continuous improvement of our program management systems.
Field Management:
- Represent us at senior client-facing milestones and executive-level client events.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for C-suite-level client executives.
- Take direct field-level control of programs in crisis when senior intervention is required.
- Serve as the final escalation point for major disputes, claims, and client issues across assigned programs.

- 10+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated accountability for one or more programs totaling more than $100M in actively managed contract revenue.
- Demonstrated C-suite-level client relationships — not just PM or executive-level contacts.
- Proven ability to build, restructure, and right-size a program team.
- Demonstrated ability to take direct control of a program in serious jeopardy (financial, schedule, or client-relationship crisis) and return it to stable operation.
- Proven track record of presenting and defending Business Case Reviews with Executive Leadership.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information for Executive Leadership and C-suite audiences.
- Strong financial acumen; ability to make sound P&L decisions with explicit margin accountability.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for program-level financial and operational analysis.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam.
- Expert negotiator with a fair and ethical mindset; ability to lead contract strategy, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Strategic and operational leadership capacity; ability to position us for long-term success within the programs you lead.
- Ability to travel up to 25% depending on program phase and intervention needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (MBA, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or similar).
- Relevant professional certification (PMP, ASHE CHC, LEED AP, or similar).

- Ability to interpret CAD, Revit, or SolidWorks models sufficient to contribute to design strategy discussions.
- Working understanding of Python, SQL, and data modeling tools sufficient to evaluate and sponsor their application within program workflows.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML, statistical modeling, and data engineering concepts sufficient to set organizational adoption strategy and direct team investment.
- Demonstrated ability to champion adoption of AI tools such as Claude.ai, Claude Code, Lovable, or Replit across program teams; proven track record establishing organization-wide AI adoption standards and performance benchmarks.

Frame your staffing industry credentials clearly
Program Specialist roles at Jobot sit inside a recruiting and workforce solutions environment. Align your resume to staffing operations language, workforce coordination, program administration, client management, so your background reads as directly relevant before sponsorship even comes up.
Target open Program Specialist listings proactively
Jobot posts Program Specialist openings across multiple locations and practice areas. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Jobot's sponsored Program Specialist roles, so you're applying to positions where visa support has already been confirmed rather than guessing.
Confirm OPT authorization timing with your recruiter
If you're on F-1 OPT, Jobot's internal onboarding timeline needs to align with your EAD start date. Raise your authorization window in the first recruiter call so the team can confirm E-Verify compliance and avoid gaps that could delay your start date.
Understand how TN status applies to this role
Canadian and Mexican nationals can qualify for TN status if the Program Specialist role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation category. Verify with Jobot's HR team that the specific job description supports a TN classification before accepting an offer.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
For H-1B sponsorship, Jobot's legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your petition. Having your degree certificates, transcripts, and employment history organized in advance prevents delays once the LCA process begins.
Account for H-1B cap timing in your job search calendar
If you need a new H-1B and aren't currently in H-1B status, USCIS's annual cap and April 1 filing window governs when you can start. Build your Jobot application timeline backward from the October 1 employment start date to avoid accepting an offer you can't activate on time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Jobot sponsor H-1B visas for Program Specialists?
Yes, Jobot sponsors H-1B visas for Program Specialist roles. The process involves Jobot filing a Labor Condition Application with DOL and then submitting an I-129 petition to USCIS on your behalf. Because Jobot operates in staffing and recruiting, sponsorship decisions are typically tied to specific client-aligned or internal headcount needs, so confirming sponsorship intent early in the interview process is important.
Which visa types are commonly used for Program Specialist roles at Jobot?
Jobot supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visa types for Program Specialist positions. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering the staffing operations space, while H-1B is the primary long-term work authorization path. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role maps to a qualifying USMCA occupation category. The right fit depends on your nationality, education, and current immigration status.
How do I apply for Program Specialist jobs at Jobot?
You can browse and apply for Program Specialist openings at Jobot through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship so you're not wasting time on positions that won't support your work authorization. When you apply, flag your visa status upfront in your application or recruiter call. Jobot's recruiting process moves quickly, so being direct about sponsorship needs early avoids misalignment later in the pipeline.
What qualifications does Jobot expect for Program Specialist roles?
Jobot typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field alongside experience in program coordination, staffing operations, or client-facing administrative functions. For H-1B sponsorship, the role needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning the position requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in a specific discipline. Highlighting any experience within staffing, workforce management, or recruiting support strengthens your application considerably.
How do I manage timing if my OPT expires before my H-1B starts?
If you're on F-1 OPT and Jobot sponsors your H-1B, you may be eligible for a cap-gap extension that bridges the period between your OPT expiration and the H-1B start date of October 1. USCIS automatically provides this extension when an H-1B petition is timely filed on your behalf. Confirm with Jobot's HR team that your petition is submitted during the April filing window to preserve your continuous work authorization.
