INTRODUCTION
Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy. Diamond Foundry is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist to standardize technical knowledge, training, and processes across Equipment Operations. In this hands-on role, you will bridge the gap between engineering and the production floor by translating complex machinery workflows into clear, repeatable training systems and SOPs. You will partner with technicians and leadership to eliminate operational waste and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- SOPs & Documentation: Write, revise, and audit Equipment Operations SOPs, work instructions, and technical materials to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
- Workforce Development: Partner with trainers and engineers to build, maintain, and scale technical qualification and cross-training programs.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and process-mapping initiatives on the production floor to reduce cycle times and operational variation.
- Knowledge Management: Eliminate "tribal knowledge" by creating scalable, standardized systems to capture and transfer lessons learned across teams.
- Operational Flexibility: Support shifting engineering and production priorities by driving ad-hoc projects and system rollouts.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, continuous improvement, technical training, or quality assurance. Experience with complex manufacturing equipment is highly preferred.
- Technical Writing: Proven ability to simplify highly technical engineering processes into concise, usable, and compliant document control frameworks.
- Continuous Improvement (CI): Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, structured problem-solving, and data-driven process optimization.
- Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional communication, comfort working independently through ambiguity, and an ownership-driven mindset.
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: $92,000 - $105,000 a year
The position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and location. We will also consider higher-level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
LOCATION
Wenatchee, located in eastern Washington alongside the Cascadian Mountains, is a beautiful recreational town with much to offer. This quaint town experiences four seasons and is accompanied by ski resorts for winter activities, copious amounts of bodies of water for summer fun, and easy access to breathtaking hikes. Wenatchee is a short driving distance from Leavenworth, known as "Little Bavaria," and the wine country of Chelan. We know that you'll love the year-long beauty of Wenatchee.

Target technical and engineering roles first
Diamond Foundry's sponsorship activity centers on highly specialized technical positions in materials science and advanced manufacturing. Focus your application on roles where your engineering or science credentials directly match the company's lab-grown diamond production processes.
Highlight deep materials or semiconductor expertise
Diamond Foundry operates at the frontier of synthetic materials manufacturing. Candidates with backgrounds in chemical vapor deposition, semiconductor fabrication, or materials engineering are best positioned to meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B sponsorship.
Confirm your visa type is supported before applying
Diamond Foundry sponsors H-1B visas, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for students. If you're on a different visa type, verify compatibility early. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history before investing time in an application.
Demonstrate how your skills advance their core mission
Diamond Foundry's mission is sustainability through lab-grown diamonds. In your application, connect your technical expertise to that mission directly. Employers in niche advanced manufacturing are more likely to pursue sponsorship when the candidate's skills are genuinely hard to source domestically.
Engage with their R&D and manufacturing teams early
For specialized manufacturers like Diamond Foundry, hiring decisions for sponsored roles often originate from technical leads and R&D managers, not just HR. Reaching out to engineers or scientists in their team demonstrates genuine interest and gets your profile in front of the right decision-makers.
Apply during active hiring cycles to maximize sponsorship chances
Diamond Foundry is a focused operation, so open sponsored roles may be limited at any given time. Monitor their openings consistently and apply promptly when relevant positions appear. Migrate Mate lets you track visa-sponsoring manufacturers so you don't miss a new listing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Diamond Foundry sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Diamond Foundry sponsors H-1B visas. Their sponsorship is concentrated in specialized technical and engineering roles tied to their lab-grown diamond manufacturing operations. If you have a background in materials science, chemical engineering, or advanced fabrication, your profile aligns most closely with the roles Diamond Foundry has historically sponsored through the H-1B program.
What visa types does Diamond Foundry sponsor?
Diamond Foundry sponsors H-1B visas for skilled specialty occupation roles, as well as F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students completing degrees in relevant fields. They also sponsor TN visas, which are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa pathway depends on your nationality, current status, and the role you're targeting.
What kinds of roles at Diamond Foundry are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Diamond Foundry is concentrated in technical roles that directly support their advanced manufacturing and materials science operations. Positions in process engineering, R&D, chemical vapor deposition, and related specialties are the most likely candidates. General business or administrative roles are less commonly associated with visa sponsorship at companies with this type of niche manufacturing focus.
How do I find currently open visa-sponsored jobs at Diamond Foundry?
Migrate Mate tracks verified visa-sponsoring employers across the U.S., including Diamond Foundry, and surfaces roles where sponsorship has been confirmed through public filing records. Rather than guessing which postings come with sponsorship, you can filter specifically for Diamond Foundry's open positions and see their real sponsorship history in one place.
How do I time my application to Diamond Foundry if I need H-1B sponsorship?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the most important timing consideration is the annual H-1B lottery, which opens for registration in March for an October 1 start date. Diamond Foundry would need to file your petition after lottery selection, so targeting their hiring process in the January through March window gives you the best alignment. For F-1 OPT or TN candidates, timing is more flexible.
