Translate your credentials into U.S. regulatory frameworks
Environmental consulting in the U.S. relies heavily on EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA compliance frameworks. If your background is international, map your experience to these standards explicitly in your resume and cover letter before applying.
Target ERM's service lines when applying
Environmental Resources Management organizes work around practice areas like remediation, climate risk, and EHS advisory. Applying to roles that align with a specific service line signals technical fit and makes it easier for hiring teams to route your application to the right team.
Understand the LCA filing requirement before your offer
For H-1B or E-3 sponsorship, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL certifying prevailing wage compliance. Knowing this step exists helps you ask informed questions during offer negotiation without stalling the process.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Environmental roles at ERM
Environmental positions at large consulting firms fill quickly and aren't always flagged as sponsorship-eligible on general job boards. Browse ERM's open environmental roles on Migrate Mate to find positions where visa sponsorship is confirmed upfront.
Build a PERM-ready employment record from day one
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, document your job duties, specialized skills, and educational equivalencies from your start date. PERM labor certification requires precise records of the role's requirements, and gaps are hard to fill retroactively.

Find Environmental at Environmental Resources Management JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Environmental Resources Management sponsor H-1B visas for Environmentals?
Yes, Environmental Resources Management sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying environmental roles. Environmental consulting positions typically meet the H-1B specialty occupation standard because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field such as environmental science, civil engineering, or geology. Sponsorship eligibility depends on the specific role and your qualifications, so confirming this during the interview process is worthwhile.
How do I apply for Environmental jobs at Environmental Resources Management?
You can apply directly through ERM's careers page or find sponsorship-confirmed environmental openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type. When applying, emphasize field experience, relevant certifications such as HAZWOPER or PE licensure, and familiarity with U.S. environmental regulations. Tailoring your application to a specific ERM practice area, such as remediation or climate advisory, improves your chances of reaching the right hiring manager.
Which visa types does Environmental Resources Management commonly use for Environmental roles?
Environmental Resources Management has sponsored H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for environmental professionals. Australian citizens benefit from the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and renews in two-year increments. Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying environmental occupations may be eligible for TN status, which can be obtained at the border without USCIS filing.
What qualifications does Environmental Resources Management expect for Environmental roles?
Most environmental consulting roles at ERM require a bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, civil or chemical engineering, geology, or a closely related field. Practical experience with site characterization, regulatory reporting, or environmental impact assessments is commonly expected. Professional certifications, familiarity with EPA compliance programs, and experience working on multi-disciplinary project teams strengthen your application significantly.
How do I understand the visa filing timeline for an Environmental role at ERM?
Timeline depends on your visa type. H-1B petitions are tied to the April 1 filing window, meaning your start date may be October 1 of the same year. E-3 and TN visas move faster, often processing in weeks through a consular appointment or port of entry. F-1 OPT can authorize work immediately if your EAD is already approved. Raising the sponsorship conversation early in the offer stage gives ERM's immigration team enough lead time to file without delays.
