Frame Your Experience Around Data-Driven Marketing
Equifax sits at the intersection of data and marketing services, so position your background around analytics, audience segmentation, or marketing attribution. Roles here require more technical depth than a typical marketing generalist position, so your resume should reflect that.
Target Roles With a Specialty Occupation Fit
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for Marketing roles more than technical ones. Look for Equifax postings that explicitly require a degree in marketing, communications, or business analytics, not just a generalist bachelor's degree, to support the specialty occupation determination.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Sponsorship-Ready Roles
Not every Equifax Marketing posting is written with visa sponsorship in mind. Use Migrate Mate to filter for confirmed sponsorship-eligible openings at Equifax so you're applying where your visa type is already expected, not hoping it gets approved post-offer.
Ask About LCA Filing Timing During the Offer Stage
Before signing an offer, ask HR whether the Labor Condition Application has been submitted to DOL or is still pending. The LCA must be certified before USCIS can receive your H-1B petition, and delays here can push your start date by weeks.
Prepare a Degree-to-Role Equivalency Brief for TN Applicants
If you're Canadian or Mexican and targeting TN status for a Marketing role, document how your degree field maps to the specific TN occupation category. A mismatch between your degree title and the job description is the most common TN denial trigger for marketing professionals.

Find Marketing at Equifax JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Equifax sponsor H-1B visas for Marketing roles?
Yes, Equifax sponsors H-1B visas for Marketing positions. The strongest candidates are those in roles with a clear specialty occupation designation, meaning the job requires a specific degree field rather than any bachelor's degree. Marketing analytics, product marketing, and marketing technology roles tend to have the clearest specialty occupation arguments, which matters during USCIS review.
How do I apply for Marketing jobs at Equifax?
Apply directly through Equifax's careers site, and use Migrate Mate to identify which open Marketing roles are confirmed for visa sponsorship before you apply. In your application, tailor your resume to reflect data fluency and marketing analytics experience, since Equifax's marketing function is heavily tied to data products and B2B demand generation. Highlight any experience with customer intelligence or audience segmentation platforms.
Which visa types does Equifax commonly use for Marketing hires?
Equifax sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for Marketing professionals. H-1B is the most common path for full-time hires, while F-1 OPT and CPT are used during early-career or internship stages. TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose degree and role align with an approved TN occupation category.
What qualifications does Equifax look for in Marketing candidates seeking sponsorship?
Equifax's Marketing roles typically require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related quantitative field. For sponsorship purposes, the stronger your degree-to-role alignment, the easier the H-1B specialty occupation case becomes. Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, or data analytics tools is frequently listed in postings and strengthens both your candidacy and your visa petition.
How do I time my application to account for the H-1B cap and my work authorization?
H-1B cap petitions are filed in April for an October 1 start date. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you're selected in the lottery, you may need a cap-gap extension to bridge the gap, which USCIS provides automatically if your I-20 is extended. Start your Equifax application process in the preceding fall or winter to give enough time for offer, LCA filing, and petition preparation before the April filing window.
