Tailor your resume to data-driven BD roles
Equifax's Business Development roles center on selling data analytics, credit risk, and identity verification solutions. Frame your experience around pipeline management, enterprise client acquisition, or B2B solutions sales rather than general relationship-building skills.
Verify your employer's E-Verify enrollment early
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify before your employment starts. Confirm Equifax's enrollment status upfront so there's no gap between your offer acceptance and your work authorization taking effect.
Target roles that align with Equifax's enterprise verticals
Equifax structures Business Development around industry verticals like financial services, mortgage, and workforce solutions. Applying to roles that match your domain background improves your fit score and signals to hiring managers you understand their client base.
Understand how PERM timelines affect your long-term plan
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, PERM labor certification with DOL can take 12 to 18 months or longer before an I-140 petition is even filed. Ask during offer negotiations whether Equifax initiates PERM after a defined tenure.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Business Development roles at Equifax
Sponsorship-eligible BD roles at large employers aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to search Equifax's open positions filtered by visa type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship is confirmed.
Prepare your LCA documentation before your H-1B start date
Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS. Make sure the job title and worksite location on the LCA match your actual role, since discrepancies can trigger a Request for Evidence.

Does Equifax sponsor H-1B visas for Business Development roles?
Yes, Equifax sponsors H-1B visas for Business Development positions. The company has an established sponsorship process for this function, which typically involves your hiring manager coordinating with Equifax's in-house immigration team. Business Development roles that require specialized knowledge in data analytics, credit solutions, or enterprise sales are generally structured to meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria.
Which visa types does Equifax commonly sponsor for Business Development positions?
Equifax sponsors H-1B visas as the primary work visa for Business Development professionals. The company also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates still completing degrees, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles, and immigrant visa pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-tenured employees pursuing permanent residence.
What qualifications does Equifax expect for Business Development roles?
Most Business Development roles at Equifax require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, with experience in B2B sales or enterprise account management. Roles focused on data or analytics solutions often prefer candidates with exposure to financial services or credit risk verticals. For H-1B eligibility, the degree must be directly relevant to the specific role.
How do I apply for Business Development jobs at Equifax?
You can browse and apply for Business Development positions at Equifax through Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type so you only see positions where international candidates are eligible. When applying, tailor your application to Equifax's data and analytics focus and be explicit about your current visa status so the recruiting team can route your profile correctly from the start.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship from Equifax?
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual lottery with a cap of 85,000 visas. USCIS opens registration each March for an October 1 start date, so you need to secure your offer and have your employer register you before that window. If you miss the lottery, Equifax may be able to keep you on OPT or explore cap-exempt options while you wait for the next cycle.
