Align your resume to data-driven sales
Equifax sells credit data, identity verification, and workforce analytics products. Frame your sales experience around consultative, solution-based selling to financial institutions or enterprise clients, not transactional retail sales. That framing matches what Equifax hiring managers are actually looking for.
Target roles with quota-carrying responsibilities
Equifax's sponsored Sales hires tend to be in roles with defined revenue targets, such as account executive or enterprise sales manager positions. These map more cleanly to the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies when reviewing H-1B petitions for Sales functions.
Start your OPT job search at least four months early
F-1 students on OPT have a narrow window to land a role and get a cap-subject H-1B filed before their authorization runs out. Equifax's hiring process for Sales roles includes multiple interview rounds, so factor that timeline into when you start applying.
Confirm the role's sponsorship eligibility before interviewing
Not every open Sales position at Equifax will have sponsorship approved at the requisition level. Ask the recruiter directly during the initial screen whether the role is open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship, so you're not deep into the process before finding out.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Equifax Sales openings by visa type
Equifax posts Sales roles across multiple job boards, but not all listings specify sponsorship availability. Migrate Mate filters open positions by employer sponsorship history and visa type, so you can focus your applications on roles that match your specific authorization situation.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
Once Equifax extends an offer, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before the H-1B petition can go to USCIS. Having your employment verification documents, degree credentials, and any prior visa records organized in advance keeps the process from stalling after the offer is signed.

Find Sales at Equifax JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Equifax sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Equifax sponsors H-1B visas for Sales positions, particularly in enterprise and commercial sales functions tied to its data and analytics products. Sponsorship is more common for roles that require specialized knowledge of financial services, credit data, or workforce solutions, since those map more directly to the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires for H-1B approval.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Equifax?
You can apply through Equifax's careers site or browse open Sales positions on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship availability so you can confirm a listing is relevant before applying. Equifax's Sales hiring process typically includes a recruiter screen, one or more competency-based interviews, and a final panel before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Equifax commonly use for Sales hires?
Equifax sponsors across several work visa categories for Sales roles, including H-1B, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students already in the U.S. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, Equifax has also supported EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does Equifax expect for sponsored Sales roles?
Equifax's sponsored Sales positions typically require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in B2B or enterprise sales. Roles selling credit risk, identity, or workforce analytics products often favor candidates with a background in financial services, HR technology, or SaaS sales, since those verticals align with Equifax's core product lines.
How do I time my application given H-1B cap deadlines?
The H-1B cap lottery registration opens in March each year, with petitions filed shortly after for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, you'll need an offer in place well before the March registration window to give Equifax's legal team time to prepare the filing. Cap-exempt pathways like TN or a change from CPT to OPT can provide bridge authorization while you wait.
