Frame your portfolio around betting data
FanDuel's Data Analyst roles sit inside product, pricing, and customer analytics teams. Build portfolio projects using publicly available sports or gambling datasets to show you can work with the kind of data FanDuel actually operates on.
Target teams with recurring analyst openings
FanDuel consistently posts Data Analyst roles across its sportsbook, fantasy, and CRM functions. Focusing your applications on teams with ongoing hiring activity improves your odds of landing a role that has budget and timeline aligned with your visa status.
Start OPT paperwork at least 90 days early
USCIS recommends filing your OPT EAD application no earlier than 90 days before your program end date. If you're targeting a full-time FanDuel role off campus, missing this window can delay your start date regardless of how quickly the offer moves.
Use Migrate Mate to filter FanDuel openings by visa type
Searching broadly across job boards won't tell you which roles have active sponsorship support. Migrate Mate lets you filter Data Analyst openings at FanDuel by the visa types the company has previously sponsored, so you apply to roles that match your work authorization.
Prepare for DOL prevailing wage scrutiny in gaming
For H-1B and PERM filings, DOL sets prevailing wage levels based on job zone and geography. Data Analyst roles in consumer technology and betting companies can attract higher wage determinations, so confirm the offered compensation aligns before the LCA is filed.

Find Data Analyst at FanDuel JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does FanDuel sponsor H-1B visas for Data Analysts?
Yes, FanDuel sponsors H-1B visas for Data Analyst roles. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, your petition must be selected before USCIS can adjudicate it. If your application isn't chosen, FanDuel cannot employ you in H-1B status that fiscal year, so it's worth discussing timing and backup options with the hiring team early in the process.
Which visa types does FanDuel commonly use for Data Analyst roles?
FanDuel supports H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for Data Analyst positions. Australian citizens benefit most from the E-3, which has no lottery and allows two-year renewable periods. F-1 graduates often start on OPT and transition to H-1B or E-3 once they have an offer.
How do I apply for Data Analyst jobs at FanDuel?
Applications go through FanDuel's careers site. You can also find and filter open Data Analyst roles at FanDuel by visa type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions where the company has a verified sponsorship track record. Tailor your resume toward analytics work in consumer-facing, high-frequency data environments, since FanDuel's teams operate on real-time betting and player behavior data.
What qualifications does FanDuel expect from Data Analyst candidates?
Most Data Analyst roles at FanDuel require a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related quantitative field. Proficiency in SQL is consistently required, and Python or R is expected for more senior positions. Experience with A/B testing, customer segmentation, or product analytics is a strong differentiator, particularly for roles tied to FanDuel's sportsbook or DFS products.
How do I manage timing if I'm on OPT and FanDuel extends an offer?
If you're on F-1 OPT, your employment authorization has a fixed end date. FanDuel will typically initiate an H-1B petition for the following October 1 start if your OPT expires before then. The cap-gap rule extends your OPT automatically if your H-1B petition is filed before your OPT ends, covering you through September 30 while USCIS processes the petition.
