Frame your credentials around utility-scale project delivery
Form Energy builds long-duration battery systems for grid operators, so your resume needs to show direct experience managing energy infrastructure milestones, contractor coordination, and commissioning timelines. Generic project management credentials won't distinguish you from domestic candidates.
Search LCA disclosures to verify sponsorship intent early
Before you apply, check the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for Form Energy's Labor Condition Application filings under energy or engineering job categories. This confirms which roles they've actively sponsored and whether the Energy Project Manager title appears.
Align your application timing with hardware deployment cycles
Form Energy's hiring for project roles tends to track site deployment schedules. Applying when the company announces new utility partnerships or grid projects increases your chances of landing in an active requisition with real urgency behind it.
Clarify your OPT or TN status in your cover materials
If you're on F-1 OPT or TN, state your authorization period and any STEM extension eligibility upfront. Hiring managers at companies with active hardware builds need to know your available start window and whether a cap-subject H-1B filing will be required mid-project.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Form Energy openings by visa type
Finding roles that match your specific authorization status across a company's full job board is time-consuming. Migrate Mate lets you filter Energy Project Manager postings at Form Energy by the visa categories they sponsor, so you target only the roles where your status fits.
Prepare for the PERM timeline when negotiating your offer
If Form Energy moves you toward an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card, the DOL PERM process typically adds 12 to 18 months before an I-140 petition can be filed. Build that lead time into your employment conversation so neither side is caught off-guard by the labor certification requirement.

Find Energy Project Manager at Form Energy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Form Energy sponsor H-1B visas for Energy Project Managers?
Yes, Form Energy sponsors H-1B visas for Energy Project Manager roles. The company has an established pattern of filing H-1B petitions for engineering and project management functions, which aligns with the technical and infrastructure demands of this role. If you're subject to the annual H-1B cap, you'll want to confirm offer timing relative to the April lottery registration window, since a gap between offer and authorization start can affect project staffing plans.
How do I apply for Energy Project Manager jobs at Form Energy?
Applications go through Form Energy's careers page, where Energy Project Manager roles are listed with specific site or program context. Tailor your application to the energy storage or grid infrastructure scope described in the posting. Highlight experience with utility-scale project execution, cross-functional contractor management, and milestone-driven delivery. If you need visa sponsorship, noting your current authorization status and timeline in your cover materials helps the recruiting team assess fit faster.
Which visa types does Form Energy commonly use for Energy Project Manager roles?
Form Energy sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for this function. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or scientific occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used for early-career candidates or those transitioning from graduate programs in energy engineering or related fields. Long-term employees often transition from H-1B status to PERM-based Green Card sponsorship.
What qualifications does Form Energy expect for Energy Project Manager candidates?
Form Energy's Energy Project Manager roles generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, combined with hands-on experience managing hardware deployment or energy infrastructure projects. Familiarity with grid interconnection processes, utility procurement cycles, or battery storage commissioning is a meaningful differentiator. Candidates with PMP certification and experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, and field construction teams tend to be competitive for these roles.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Form Energy as an Energy Project Manager?
Timeline depends on your visa category. H-1B cap-subject petitions follow USCIS's October 1 start date, so offers made in early spring tie to a filing in April and an employment start six months later. TN status can be obtained at the border with the right documentation in a single day. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card paths through DOL PERM typically take two or more years end-to-end. Migrate Mate can help you identify Form Energy openings matched to your current visa status so you target roles where the timeline actually works.
