Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Industrial Engineer Jobs at Form Energy Jobs
Align your credentials to battery manufacturing
Form Energy's industrial engineering work centers on cell manufacturing, production line design, and yield optimization for iron-air battery systems. Frame your resume around process improvement in hardware or energy manufacturing environments, not general industrial applications.
Verify your degree field before applying
H-1B eligibility for Industrial Engineer roles requires a degree in a directly related specialty. Industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or mechanical engineering with a manufacturing focus typically qualifies. A broadly general business or operations degree often does not satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements.
Target Form Energy's Weirton facility roles
Form Energy's manufacturing scale-up is anchored at its Weirton, West Virginia facility. Industrial Engineer openings tied to that site involve hands-on production ramp work, which is distinct from corporate process roles and tends to require demonstrated factory floor experience in hardware or electronics manufacturing.
Understand how OPT timing affects your application
If you're on F-1 OPT, the 60-day grace period after employment ends is your window to secure a new offer. Form Energy files H-1B petitions on the standard April 1 cycle, so starting your application process in January or February gives you the best alignment with cap-subject filing deadlines.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Industrial Engineer roles
Sponsorship-friendly job listings at Form Energy aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Industrial Engineer roles at Form Energy that align with your visa type, so you're only investing time in positions where sponsorship is a realistic outcome.
Ask about LCA timing during offer negotiations
Before signing any offer, confirm that your employer has filed or is actively preparing the Labor Condition Application with DOL. LCA certification is required before USCIS can process your H-1B petition, and delays at this step directly push back your start date.

Find Industrial Engineer at Form Energy JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Form Energy sponsor H-1B visas for Industrial Engineers?
Yes, Form Energy sponsors H-1B visas for Industrial Engineer roles. The company operates in the Electronics and Hardware sector with active manufacturing scale-up, which creates consistent demand for engineering talent that requires sponsorship. H-1B petitions follow the standard USCIS cap-subject process, with registration opening in March each year for an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Industrial Engineer jobs at Form Energy?
You can apply directly through Form Energy's careers page or find sponsorship-confirmed openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can identify positions where H-1B or OPT sponsorship is available. Tailor your application to highlight manufacturing process experience relevant to battery production, as Form Energy's industrial engineering roles focus heavily on production ramp and yield work.
Which visa types does Form Energy typically use for Industrial Engineers?
Form Energy sponsors H-1B visas as the primary long-term work authorization path for Industrial Engineers. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for students and recent graduates entering manufacturing or process engineering roles. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering classifications. For longer-term pathways, Form Energy also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions, which often follow an initial H-1B period.
What qualifications does Form Energy expect for Industrial Engineer roles?
Form Energy's Industrial Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering. Hands-on experience with production line optimization, process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma, and familiarity with hardware or electronics manufacturing environments are consistently prioritized. Roles tied to the Weirton facility tend to place additional weight on factory floor experience and scale-up work in capital-intensive production settings.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for a role at Form Energy?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the process runs from lottery registration in March through a potential October 1 start date, roughly six to seven months from selection to work authorization. USCIS premium processing, which expedites adjudication to 15 business days, is available and sometimes used for time-sensitive hires. TN and OPT-based starts can move faster, often within a few weeks of an offer, depending on documentation readiness.
