Align Your Degree to Ghafari's Disciplines
Ghafari hires across structural, MEP, and civil engineering disciplines. Before applying, confirm your degree field maps directly to the role, since specialty occupation petitions require a clear connection between your academic background and the specific engineering function.
Research Ghafari's LCA Filings on DOL
DOL's OFLC disclosure database lists Ghafari's certified Labor Condition Applications by job title and location. Searching this data before your interview tells you which engineering roles they've actively sponsored and which office locations have the most precedent.
Prepare a PE License or Progress Timeline
For senior engineering roles at a firm like Ghafari, a Professional Engineer license strengthens your petition. If you're not yet licensed, document your exam progress or EIT status, as this signals professional trajectory during the sponsorship evaluation.
Ask Directly About PERM and EB-2 Eligibility
Ghafari sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, which require PERM labor certification through DOL. During the offer stage, ask HR whether your role qualifies for EB-2, since a National Interest Waiver under EB-2 can eliminate the PERM requirement for certain engineering work.
Browse Ghafari Engineering Roles on Migrate Mate
Finding engineering roles that openly list visa sponsorship saves you from applying blind. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Ghafari Associates' open engineering positions, so you're targeting roles where sponsorship is already confirmed before you write a single cover letter.

Find Engineering at Ghafari Associates JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Ghafari Associates sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Ghafari Associates does not appear prominently in H-1B LCA disclosures for engineering roles. Their documented sponsorship activity for engineers leans toward Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, as well as F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas. If H-1B sponsorship is a requirement for your situation, clarify this directly with Ghafari's HR team during the recruitment process.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Ghafari Associates?
You can find Ghafari Associates' open engineering positions through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for roles with confirmed visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to the engineering discipline listed, whether that's structural, civil, or MEP, and be upfront about your visa status in the early screening stages so there are no surprises during the offer process.
Which visa types does Ghafari Associates commonly use for Engineering roles?
Ghafari Associates has sponsored engineers through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, J-1, and immigrant visa categories EB-2 and EB-3. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens in qualifying engineering occupations under USMCA. For longer-term work authorization, Ghafari's EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship provides a path to a Green Card through PERM labor certification filed with DOL.
What qualifications does Ghafari Associates expect from Engineering candidates?
Ghafari typically hires engineers with a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering. For mid-to-senior roles, project experience in construction or infrastructure environments is expected. A Professional Engineer license or documented progress toward licensure strengthens your profile, particularly for roles that may require stamping drawings or leading project teams.
How do I plan my timeline if Ghafari Associates is sponsoring my Green Card?
Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 begins with PERM labor certification, which DOL currently processes over several months. After PERM approval, your employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, your priority date may face a backlog. Raise the Green Card conversation early in the offer stage so you and Ghafari's HR can align on realistic filing timelines.
